I liked "Marge Simpson in: Screaming Yellow Honkers" and it was one of my favorites from S10.

I think Eternal Moonshine is an appalling episode. A really, really bad episode.

As with most of the post classic era, the gags borrow much too heavily from films, the episode feels like it was constructed around the punny title (which I really wish they would quit. They're. not. funny.), they ruin every potentially touching moment by drawing humour from it, which they obviously can't resist, and I don't care who's writing the damn episode, but Burns, Patty and Selma would not show up to Homer's birthday.

Also, I'll never get used to the crisp and clean animation. Yes, it's almost technically flawless and perfect, but it's just wrong.

Also, I find "Guess Who's Coming to Criticize Dinner" to be of such great quality, that I often forget it's from what most people would designate as the "post-classic" era.

Well, ya'know if you stay positive and forget about trivial things like "proper characterization," "Satire," and "emotional depth" watching new Simpsons episodes can be a seemingly enjoyable lie.

I tried watching a new episode the Simpsons, but I realized the show hit a new low, like a brand new, underground parking structure of sadness.

Yeah i'd much rather have season 1's super cartoony imperfect style instead of the perfect, blocky animation you get now.

I don't have any problem with the jokes where Homer whispers loudly. He's usually saying pretty funny things.

What do you think they put in the Bug Juice?
    Bugs?
No they don't. Come on...shut up.

I really disliked when they brought Nelson's dad back for a storyline. The whole idea of him leaving was a big thing and a tradmark to Nelson's character and having that dumbass story where his dad becomes a circus freak was a cop out.

Nelson's real dad will always be a deadbeat asshole in my eyes. Not some guy who loses his trail thanks to some wacky and unlikely events. The whole reason Nelson's such a bully is due to his neglectful and abusive parents.

The decline from the golden era of the Simpsons begins during Season 8 for me; seasons 9 and 10 are only a continuation of the downward spiral. S8 has a few excellent episodes (THOH VII, You Only Move Twice, Homer's Phobia, Brother From Another Series, and Homer's Enemy), but is otherwise mostly just very good, not fantastic. I actually prefer Season 2 over 8.

I'm about to be annihilated for this, but Moe Goes from Rags to Riches is not that bad. Maybe it's because I enjoy historical narratives, or maybe it's because I had zero serious expectations after this episode turned into an inside joke, but I frankly kind of enjoyed its quirky premise. Really, the only aspect that particularly angered me was Moe's father being a yeti. Otherwise, it's not super funny, but at least it offers something different, for better or for worse.

I still think the writers were high when they came up with that episode... I mean seriously, it's a talking rag! How did they even come up with that?

It's not awful, but it's still a fairly poor episode. A Totally Fun Thing...is much worse.

I don't know. I actually really liked "A Totally Fun Thing Bart Will Never Do Again". I'm not sure why, but it was a helluva lot better than "Moe Goes From rags To Riches". Although, the side-story with Bart and Milhouse was pretty enjoyable. Reminded me of when me and my friends would get into fights over nothing and then make up the next day.

A totally fun Thing wasn't a bad idea on paper, but the execution was terrible and the only thing great about it was its failure, whereas "Rags" was just a stupid idea that had nowhere to go but down. Also, "Totally Fun" had such a cop out ending that was so saccharine sweet, so bullshit and so "look, we're trying to be cute after we threw plot logic out the window 2 acts ago!" I was amazed that so many 4/5 and 5/5 fans fell for it.
