Rate and Review The Cleveland Show: ''A Rodent Like This''

Original Airdate: March 3, 2013. When Donna discovers a rat loose in the house, she immediately moves herself and the kids in with her mother, Dee Dee (guest voice Phylicia Rashad), leaving Cleveland home alone to hunt down the rodent. Cleveland takes advantage of having the house to himself and soon bonds with his new pet and best friend “Rat Lauer.” Meanwhile Rallo and Jr. pretend they’re spies, but things get out of hand when Junior won’t reveal what’s in his secret briefcase. Haven't seen a thread on an episode in a while, but I can see why. Rate this episode that caused the changes in the schedule.

Actually, this episode hasn't aired yet. "Brownsized" & "Pins, Spins and Fins" aired today.

    You beat me to it.

Anyway, "Brownsized" was decent, "Pins, Spins and Fins" was great.

Well said. I'm giving a 6/5 rating just because of that.

You're BoJack Horseman, no cure for that.

Maybe so, but then again, Donna is a horrible, HORRIBLE person. Especially in this episode.

What do you mean by horrible? That she's a mean or she's annoying?

I rarely watch TCS, but Fox was on and I didn't change it. Like I excepted, it was terrible. Cleveland's wife was a jerk and Cleveland himself acted like a moron. Is this how he usually acts in the show? Oh and the plot was stupid. Only joke I liked was the one about Shark Tale.

    Rating: 1/5

Donna's always a bitch...like really, really horrible. The only thing I can honestly say I like about her is when she plays her recorder because:

    1) It's fun to listen to
    and
    2) She's not talking

Cleveland has his childish/stupid moments akin to Peter but not really as frequent. For the most part he's competent and has common sense but is just prone to poor judgement.

Every character in this show is unbearably annoying and self absorbed from what i've seen.

    Because it's generally good.

Also, bare in mind Donna doesn't get a lot of focus because she's a woman, which as we all know is practically a death sentence for characters in a Seth show

Not really. Generally Francine is a well developed female character. I don't get the hate for her on this forum. Lois was pretty great too in the first 3 seasons of Family Guy until they turned her into a total self absorbed bitch.

I'll agree that most of the other female characters are flat and annoying on any of the Seth shows though. I think American Dad does female characters the best. I don't want to strangle the majority if them like I do for the characters in tcs and family guy.

That's a good point now that you mention it.

The only Francine moment I disliked was when she brushed off Hailey's pot addiction. That felt too Lois-ish.

Her comments about how she should have aborted Steve were very Lois like too (I can't remember what episode it was but Stan responded with a very disheartened "Goodness")

Well, she said that in a state of anger, so it's somewhat excusable.

The "pot" comment was different because she was in a totally normal and content mood.

Be that as it may, it's still a bit much. Okay, how about the time she calmly said to Steve he would likely die a virgin anyway as he cried about the prospect of it happening when the family was quarantined after Stan brought home a Thermos containing a biohazard that they thought would kill them all within 24 hours? That was pretty damn horrible of her.

Wow, I forgot about that episode. Haven't watched season 1 in a while.

Yeah, I'll agree that wasn't a great moment for her.

@irvine_11 here's another one. The time she gleefully entertained the idea of killing the family in "Fart-Break Hotel". Stabbing Roger in the neck, breaking Steve's neck and chopping Stan's head off.
