    Knee problems (need advice)

    In March, somehow I tweeked my left knee...somehow, it got worse and saw my doctor.

    She ordered x-rays and sent me to a physical therapist, who I saw last week.

    Was evaluated by the physical therapist and he faxed info to my doctor.

    I called my doctor to see if I need an M.R.I.-doctor wants me to see an othropedist.

    What do I do? Anyone had to go through this?

    Depends what kind of damage you've done really. There's a lot of patella exercises you can find on youtube which strengthen the muscles around the knee cap. Most of those are fairly easy to do and don't require any equipment ect. Other than that just make sure you have a knee support so you don't aggravate it any more.

    Knees are the absolute worst in my experience. Had Osgood-Schlatter Disease as a teen and after that cleared up I dislocated it playing football. It didn't pop back in either so there was a ton of muscle damage done. Never properly recovered but I was pretty lazy with the physiotherapy so its probably my own fault.

    Here's the latest: the exercises the PT gave made is making my knee worse: when I was doing them before I went to bed last night, my knee started to make clicking sounds...that has never happened before.

    Also: can not put weight, can not walk long distances nor go up a flight of stairs and even going through one single step hurts!

    The othropedist is supposed to call me tomorrow...I can not live like this.
