Didn't they already do that on the 90's TV show Dinosaurs?

I don't think dinosaurs had humans in it, though.

also this is focusing on herbivores, not carnivores.

Really looking forward to Inside Out, wonderful idea. The one with the Dinosaurs needs to grow on me though.

I recall that it did have cavepeople and they were regarded as animals/pets (and the show did focus on both dino types).

But anyway, the Good Dinosaur movie still seems promising so unoriginality is definitely not a dealbreaker.

I finally saw Monsters University online on a random streaming site, and it was pretty good, I guess. I felt like there should have been a lot more to it. I for one would've loved to see Fear Tech, maybe they could've done something where Mike and Sulley and others go to pull a prank on them? Also, there's Dean Hardscrabble. She was a pretty unique character, I suppose, but I wanted more out of her.  Before the move even came out, I had heard that Dean Hardscrabble was the villain, and in a way, she kind of is, but not really.  And there's the cameos from  The CDA, Roz, and the Abominable Snowman (and we now know why he was banished: he tampered with the mail).  But all in all, it was a pretty good movie, I just wanted more out of it.

it's been a long, long time since I've seen the show. still (and I know I'm reaching), dinosaurs focused on the modern-day business world, did it not? this one will be about agrarian farming societies.

in the end, the concept of "what if the dinosaurs never became extinct" is still pixar's point, whereas I do know for a fact in the tv show they became extinct in the end.

I saw Cars 2 this week. I didn't hate it, but it's definitely the worst Pixar film. Mater is the most annoying fucking character ever, and McQueen is shoved to the side so Mater can hog all the screen time. And I thought the first film was really good and another Pixar classic, honestly.

So, I guess I'm the only one that liked Cars 2 slightly more than the first? I mean, it's bad, don't get me wrong, but I never really cared all too much for the first anyway.

every time i've started Cars it's been turned off; at a friend's house, at school once while we were waiting for the late bus, at a family member's house, etc. and i've never really had any intention of finishing it.

Cars is such an unforgiving slog. It's not worth finishing, ever.

I liked Cars, didn't really care for Cars 2. Granted I had never seen Cars and more or less didn't want to because the premise sounded stupid and reception was lukewarm, but when I caught it on TV years later it surpassed my low expectations. Still I'd classify if it as pretty good though, but definitely not one of Pixars best.

No pixar movie in 2014 as The Good Dinosaur has been pushed back to 2015 (due to switching directors and writing concerns..) which in turn has pushed Finding Dory to 2016. http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/09/...6aad2e6b000014

I guess Inside Out isn't ready enough to be pushed up (unless a future announcement is coming), because damn -- what a gap!

Hopefully the movie finds a director soon... they spent too much money in it just to cancel it.

I didn't the first one in theaters, so I decided to watch it online. Made me weep tears of joy and call it the best Dreamworks film I ever watched in my life.

So yeah, June 2014 can't come quickly enough.

i may need to rewatch it, but i didn't think How to Train Your Dragon was anything special.

i think the saddest aspect is having to wait longer for Finding Dory. I really wanna see Good Dinosaur and Inside Out, but Finding Dory has interested me far more since first hearing about it

people kept hyping it up "It's the best Dreamworks film!" It's got emotion, heart, comedy. I don't remember seeing the first two (emotion and heart) but the latter definitely wasn't there...I don't remember laughing once or much about the film in general it was so boring...Kung Fu Panda remains the best Dreamworks movie IMO.

I remember a girl commenting how "hard" it was to choose between that and Toy Story 3 for the Academy Awards back in 2010 and that got me curious. It may have been that comment that got me to watch it.
