    Pixar Thread

There isn't a thread about everybody's favourite CGI animated film company (C'mon, there is literally no reason why you would like Dreamworks more), so I might as well do it now.

To start off the thread, what is everybody's favourite Pixar film? My top three would be:

    1. Up
    2. Toy Story 3
    3. Brave

I personally love all 13 Pixar films, but while I call all the others excellent, I would only say that Cars and Cars 2 are just good, and I'm not a huge fan of Wall-E either.

Apart from Cars and Brave, I absolutley adore every film they've made. They all stick with you in their own ways.

How coincidental, I was thinking of maybe starting a Pixar movie poll tournament and then here I see a Pixar thread.

Just out of interest, what was wrong with Brave?

    It's not ironic, it's a coincidence.

Eh, both works. Edited it to be more correct.

In no particular order, my favorites would have to be:

    1. Toy Story 3
    2. Day & Night
    3. Up

Honorable mentions: Toy Story, Paperman, For the Birds.

Then again, I haven't seen all their films. Nonetheless, a consistently entertaining film production company.

I haven't seen Brave or Cars 2, but I really like most of them are really good movies. The only ones that aren't great are:
WALL-E, which was fine, but pretty dull
Cars, which wasn't awful, but not very good
Ratatouille, which was pretty bad, imo

Most people don't like Cars 2, but I really liked it. I liked it better than the original Cars, to be honest.

Ugh Cars 2 is below average rotten garbage. All it does is rely on Mater, the stereotyped locations, and spy parody for humor. It's the modern Simpsons of Pixar films.

And Toy Story 2 was ok.

It's not Pixar's greatest but that you put it below Cars is just factually incorrect. And yeah it is.

I really couldn't decide if it was better than Cars or not, based off of memory, so I just basically flipped a coin.

From what I remember, it was pretty stupid and unfunny. I don't remember much about the story, though.

It was one of those Pixar films that didn't even try to be that funny though... give it a rewatch. I fell asleep the first time I saw it but once I watched it again I loved it.

Anyways here's my list in chronological order by DOB:

Toy Story: 4/5 (Eh, hasn't aged greatly)
A Bug's Life: 2/5 (Never was very keen on this one)
Toy Story 2: Was OK 5/5 (My favorite Pixar film to this day and still holds up very well)
Monsters, Inc. 3.5/5 (Again, not very well aged, but a nice buddy com)
Finding Nemo: 4.5/5 (A really unpredictable story with lovable characters and locations)
The Incredibles: 3/5 (Never was too satisfied with this one, always felt it to be pretty cliche and at times boring)
Cars: 2/5 (Extremely predictable plot that's been done to death with no likable/relatable characters or anything original about it)
Ratatouille: 4/5 (A very passionate and beautiful film with some very genuinely thought-provoking ideas)
WALL-E: 2.5/5 (The final act is the only really interesting part, and it's all action. Beautiful CGI, but it still doesn't save it, and I was surprised by how bored I was with it upon rewatch)
Up: 4.5/5 (Another beautiful and thought-provoking film with some memorable characters and a good climax)
Toy Story 3: 3.5/5 (A kinda underwhelming finale to the TS franchise that borrows a little too heavily from other films, but nonetheless still enjoyable)
Cars 2: 0/5 (A cheap cash-in film made only because Cars is the most profitable Pixar movie, even less redeeming values than the first, and surely the worst Pixar film out there so far)
    Brave: N/A (Haven't seen it)
