I've made a mental note to seek out the "Critters" and "Ghoulies" films.

I used to watch them all the time on VHS as a kid. So it should be a nice nostalgic trip.

I think I'm going to watch Donnie Darko for the first time this afternoon. Is this a wise choice?

Seems like another reboot of an old franchise is on it's way (and this one makes me quite upset):

    Goodfellas
    12 Angry Men
    Inception
    2001: A Space Odyssey

That's a pretty good list you got there.

Holy shit, Donnie Darko is bloody fantastic. If you haven't seen it yet then don't leave it as long as I did.

That's a terrible decision made by WB. I feel they should scrap the idea

Let's hope this doesn't go ahead. This sort of thing has happened before; a studio will announce a decision to reboot a classic movie or franchise and then not go through with it. That said, sometimes they actually happen.

If this happens, it might ruin the original for many.

They should do either a proper sequel or a prequel instead, not reboot the whole thing. It's definitely a sad time for fans of the franchise.

I saw Mud a couple weeks ago. My favorite movie of the year so far (just followed by Star Trek Into Darkness).

I plan to see Fast 6 soon. But I wouldn't consider it a 'good' movie really. Just some old school, over the top action.

I've had Dances with Wolves from Netflix for a while now, but I just haven't had the time to watch it. It's too damn long.

It's one of those movies that works better with the long length. I recommend watching it in 2 sittings as you my get a little fidgety especially if you're watching the Director's Cut.
    It isn't your typical western

Who here's seen Waltz with Bashir? Ari Folman's got a new film coming out called The Congress and according to a review I read it may be "the most anti-Hollywood film ever made". It premiered at Cannes and based off of initial reactions it's pretty damn good. I can't wait to see it.

    EDIT: Here's that review.
