    It looks good.

Also, does anyone plan on seeing Burt Wonderstone. I like Steve Carrell and Jim Carrey, but it looks really stupid. However, I don't see how it can't be good. They had to know everyone would initially dismiss it as horrible, so they have to be fairly confident in their execution.

Ugh that Spring Breakers movie is about to come out and I can already see all the teenage guys and girls going to see it. Just because it has Selena Gomez and Vanessa Hudgens running around in bikinis cursing and drinking and smoking pot. SO EDGY! >_> Too all the idiot boys and girls they are gonna say it's the best movie of the year. God I fucking hate this planet! -_-

It looks horrible, but it got good reviews on Rotten Tomatoes somehow.

I don't see how rotten tomatoes and imdb are that different. Shitty movies get bad rating on both sites and good movies get rated well on both sites....also users get to vote on both sites.

i don't usually pay attention. if something looks good to me, i see it. i don't really care what critics have to say

I'm not completely familiar with IMDB's voting system, but it looks like the critic rating and the user rating are combined. Either that, or the one that people look at more is the user one. Whereas on Rotten Tomatoes they are clearly separated. I'm not sure if that makes sense.

With that being said, I don't judge a movie by how critics like it. They tend to not like almost every goofy/slapstick comedy, which I usually like, and they love a lot of movies that I find boring.

OK a few minutes ago I suddenly had an urge to see a movie, since it's been about a month or so since the last movie I saw. My options:

    -Oz, Great and Powerful
    -The Call
    -Burt Wonderstone
    -21 and Over
    -Jack the Giant Slayer

anyone seen any of these? I'm probably not going to go but I kinda do want to see one. Money-permitting...

Oz and Burt Wonderstone are the only two I care about seeing that are currently in theaters.

If that's true, then I don't think Sam Raimi is gonna do it. I read on the AV Club a while ago that he wasn't interested in a sequel.

I just saw the Oz movie last weekend and didn't really have high hopes at all (which I find can be for the better) and I thought it was ok. Particularly enjoyed the beginning (the opening credits and the black and white portion) and the ending I thought was cool. The middle had both hits and misses for me

    3/5 for me

I saw Three Amigos yesterday. It was pretty disappointing considering how great the cast was. Chevy Chase was definitely my favorite, but Martin and Short did good too. I was surprised to see Joe Mantegna, Jon Lovitz, and the great Phillip E. Hartmann. There were a few good jokes, but there were too many dumb scenes, or scenes that were trying too hard to be either silly or dramatic.

    2/5

after seeing the 21 and Over trailer for the first time in a while, I've concluded it's going to be a really stupid movie, but I like stupid comedy so I'm seeing it later

I saw Crash last night. It was a really good and unpredictable movie dealing with racism in a tasteful manner. I highly recommend it.

    4.25/5 or A-

Has anybody ever seen this website before:
    http://www.flickchart.com/

It's pretty cool. It helps you rank every movie you've seen by comparing movies side-by-side and you pick the one you like better.

You have no idea how long I've been waiting for this movie. Ever since I finished reading Kick-Ass 2 #7, I've been hyped as hell. It justs sucks that they delayed it because now it comes out on my nephew's brithday, and the day before my brother's birthday. It sucks, because I was planning to see it on opening day. Oh, well...

    BUMP

I just watched Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. It was great. Jim Carrey gave a great performance, as well as the rest of the cast. The story is wonderfully complex, and I had no idea where it was going the entire time. Great movie.

I don't know if I'm the minority or what, but I really think Jim Carrey's best movies are the ones where he's not talking out of his ass or whatever

I think most people would probably agree with you. I enjoy his silly stuff, and he's great in those roles, imo, but he really proved that he can be a great dramatic actor in Eternal Sunshine and The Truman Show. I enjoy him in movies like Liar, Liar, The Mask, Dumb and Dumber, etc., but I think that these are his best roles.

So, I went out and saw Jurassic Park 3D the other night. It was pretty phenomenal. Almost like watching a whole new movie!

I love Bill Paxton. Twister and Aliens are 2 of my fave films just because of him
