I have only seen Live Free or Die Hard, and I thought it was pretty awesome. I need to see the rest of em.

They were selling a whole heap of stuff cheap. A lot of it has a DVD imported sticker though

Yeah, but I'm a critic too so it's a love/hate relationship. You don't even want to know what I think of Star Wars.

Since you really liked that one, you're gonna love the first three.

(Oh, and Die Hard 2 is incredibly underrated; it's almost as great as the first one)

I got all of the movies at a used dvd/video game shop for like $20, I was impressed!

Actually, I do. I haven't watched one of the originals in years.
Every time I try, I get bored. Just can't get into them like when I was a kid

I think it's easily the most overrated franchise of all time.

It used to be one of my favorites, but now I just like them. I haven't seen any of them in years, however.

Blu-Ray was an alright purchase but I probably should've just bought the IV-VI boxset instead of the whole saga.

Speaking of which, what does everyone think of the Disney takeover and the Episode VII news?

I'm indifferent. It could be good, but there's a pretty good chance it won't be. Either way it would still be interesting to see what they do with it.

I'm with you. I'm actually interested to see what they do with it. Change isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Personally, I think it could be great for the franchise. I mean, Empire Strikes Back was done with less Lucas involvement (ie, screenplay, directing), and it was pretty much the best of the series. Following that reason, Disney being in charge could mean better movies.

Damn. If that's the one you started with then you're in for a treat.

I love how they're all great in different ways, and have things about them that make them stand out. 1 is the one with all of the one liners, 2 is the one with all the hilarious TV edits, 3 is the one with Samuel L. Jackson, and 4 is the one with the hot Asian chick. But they're all good for the most part.

But I don't think anybody can argue that 1 is the best. There has never been a more perfect blockbuster action movie.

Why are they calling the movie Alien Turtles instead of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles? There pretty much goes half of the film's box office gross, although that may be for the better in this case.
My favorite and least favorite episodes from each season:
S1 - Krusty Gets Busted / The Call of the Simpsons S2 - Lisa's Substitute / The War of the Simpsons S3 - Homer at the Bat / Dog of Death S4 - Marge vs. the Monorail / Whacking Day S5 - Marge on the Lam / Bart Gets an Elephant S6 - Who Shot Mr. Burns?: Part 1 / Another Simpsons Clip Show S7 - Bart on the Road / Homerpalooza S8 - You Only Move Twice / The Twisted World of Marge Simpson S9 - The Joy of Sect / All Singing, All Dancing S10 - Simpsons Bible Stories / Sunday, Cruddy Sunday S11 - Treehouse of Horror X / It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad Marge S12 - Trilogy of Error / Tennis the Menace S13 - Half-Decent Proposal / The Sweetest Apu S14 - Moe Baby Blues / Brake My Wife, Please S15 - The Way We Weren't / Bart-Mangled Banner S16 - Sleeping with the Enemy / Thank God, It's Doomsday S17 - The Girl Who Slept Too Little / Homer's Paternity Coot S18 - 24 Minutes / The Boys of Bummer S19 - Eternal Moonshine of the Simpson Mind / Treehouse of Horror XVIII S20 - Gone, Maggie Gone / Dangerous Curves S21 - O Brother, Where Bart Thou? / The Greatest Story Ever D'ohed S22 - Homer the Father / The Fool Monty S23 - The Book Job / Politically Inept, with Homer Simpson S24 - The Saga of Carl / Love is a Many-Splintered Thing

Because that's what Michael Bay does. I hope it does flop so maybe Bay will stop doing these 80's reboots.

I heard somewhere that the alien part of it had been scrapped. Still though, there is no way in hell anybody is going to take it seriously with Megan fucking Fox in it.

I'm pretty sure Megan Fox isn't what's going to make Michael Bay's TMNT suck balls. Then again, I have no emotional or nostalgic affiliation with the show at all.

Anyway, has anyone made Oscar predictions? It's generally pretty easy to predict this year. I'd post mine here but I can't be bothered.

Watching deleted scenes and outtakes from Jaws and watching Roy Scheider get increasingly pissed at his gun jamming is hilarious

Same with the multiple takes of Robert Shaw getting munched.

Has anyone seen that Oz movie yet? It could be interesting, but it's gotten generally bad reviews.

I have seen some review say it average and some say it was fantastic.

Yeah it has 60% on there. 82% liked it.
All the other reviews I have seen said it was really good. And it's a Sam Raimi movie so I plan on seeing it anyways.
