I got Looper from the Redbox today. I've heard it's absolutely awesome, I hope it lives up to the hype!

I saw Django Unchained a few days ago. Pretty good, but some of the more racist/violent stuff was kind of hard to watch. Anyone else have thoughts on this one?

I think I will watch Puss n Boots tonight, I recorded it a few days ago.

I saw Puss in Boots in theaters, and it was decent. I really enjoyed Shrek 3 though. I don't get why everyone hates it.

I just saw A Beautiful Mind. Pretty good, but the beginning bothered me, but it made up for it in the end.

My elder sister had me watch that American Movie documentary a couple nights ago but I only made it through 20 minutes or so, too sad really.

I was quite disappointed wih The Cabin In The Woods. IMO the Scream movies and New Nightmare do a better job with the meta concept. That ending was quite good visually and the reveal at the end was ok but nothing amazing.

Fair warning, some of the stuff early on is a little hard to watch. (violence + racism = uncomfortable)

I caught The Princess Bride on TVLand last night. It was just as good as I remembered.

Well it's been years since I have seen it but I remember it just being another annoying and over the top childrens film. Didn't think it was funny or any good.

    Fair enough

It isn't hilarious, but it has some great scenes and great performances by the entire cast. It has a good story, and although the emotion becomes a little too much, it manages to stay entertaining with the slight spoof-y feeling it gives off.

I haven't seen it, but I know it's the source of a huge phenomenom on my main forum ("Wine In Front Of Me").

Just successfully purchased Rocky on DVD for 97 cents NZD. What a bargain for such a great film.

I just watched this as well, while I disagree with Pinkman about it being amazing it is none the less a very intriging movie with a good concept. I guess I expected too much out of the ending.

Not a fan of Rocky. To me it's just a well-exhausted paint-by-numbers inspirational Hollywood movie starring a dude who got famous from porn.

At the Warehouse, seriously? I don't think I've ever seen them sell a DVD for less than $5.

That's what I was wondering. I'm confused as to what the porn talk was about though.

Stallone was once a porn star in his younger days.

Stallone got famous from being a porn star in the same way Schwarzenegger got famous by lifting things.
