A question about Virtual Springfield for the oldies

Virtual Springfield released in 1997 and contained a secret URL that now only exists on Web Archive. The links aren't active in any of the snapshots.

It's a site that seems to just contain some tidbits about the game, such as the known cheat to navigate around the map ("Professor Frink's Navigation Teleporter"), as well as a map from Otto that shows the locations of locales that can't be visited. I only know this from information gathered at the old Vince Chan guide and Simpsons Wiki.

I'm wondering if anyone here saved those assets or otherwise remembers exactly what each of those links led to. Lemme know if you remember!

im not exactly an old boomer but i do love me some vintage tech bullshit. of course i dont have any of the assets saved and i doubt anyone else still does

HOWEVER i toyed around with the links a bit and found out that wayback does in fact have the pages archived... you just have to remove "?0000" from the end of the url and use an earlier capture:

    https://web.archive.org/web/20000229...ansporter.html
    https://web.archive.org/web/20000229.../04_codes.html
    https://web.archive.org/web/20000229...nk/05_map.html
    https://web.archive.org/web/20000301...eseframes.html

the images are still entirely nonfunctional but its more than what i was expecting. remember kids, never trust wayback to actually archive things you care about

    Damn good sleuthing, thanks!

Now I'm obsessed with those missing images...
