Yeah he's always been like that.

I'll admit that's he's a bit more over the top than he once was.

And i'm a little tired of his personas to be quite frank. I liked them before because he did them a couple times every season but now they're almost in every episode he's in. I just wanna see Roger be Roger. Not some generic bimbo he made up on the spot.

And he even does them around the house all the time. Is he afraid to be himself or something?

Great Show about a rigid redneckish propane salesman with a good heart and wacky friends and family.

That's a king of the hill joke.

Yes, I've seen that episode. Being nice kills him, sure. That doesn't make him any more tolerable episode to episode.

I am really fed up with them too, but that's the only gimmick they have left for Roger. It's a lot easier to write a random character every week than do something with the basic Roger. Just look at how Stan has a new malfunction every week and how annoying that has become.

They should have a plot involving something with Steve and Francine. I've always liked the overprotective mother dynamic and it's severely underused in this show. Also maybe some interaction between Stan and Klaus would be nice. They should mix it up a little. There are a lot of possibilities they haven't used yet.

I'm just really tired of the roger + stan, steve + stan, stan + francine thing.

Like I said before Stan and Roger are overused and they should take a break from it in order to keep things fresh.

Also Steve + Roger is always nice. They haven'g overused that yet, but they have used Steve's friends quite a bit. The only friend of his I can really stand is Snot.

The last Francine/Steve story I can remember is the one in "Iced, Iced, Babies" where she gets jealous of Debbie. God, the very end of that episode made me hate Francine so damn much...

I actually loved her at the end of the episode. So evil and protective.

I think "Son of Stan" was a little Franine/Steve. She got to raise him how she wanted to anyway over stan.

True, I forgot about that one. Like I said, "Iced, Iced, Babies" was the last one I could remember off the top of my head.

The only thing I've heard Seth dislikes about AD is that doing the voice of Stan tends to really take the wind out of him.

    This Sunday's preview.

Ok, just judging by these clips this episode looks like it's gonna be the best of the season so far. So excited.

Wait, does Jeff know Rogers an alien. I'm pretty sure he has only seen Roger as that cousin that always try to hit on him, so that might explain him not being just himself normally at the house. The party episode looks really good and can easily be the best of the season. Looks slightly less like the other episodes that are just reused plots and dynamics.

Well originally it looked like it'd be a typical steve sneaks out and wants be a cool kid type episode (liscence ti till, I am the walrus). But with the whole dynamic with Hayley fucking up and Jeff being there stoned and having Steve try to keep things together is nothing we've ever seen before.

So far, it looks like this season may actually be hitting another kind of its stride, especially with the ending of last week's episode. If they continue to do good for the rest of the season (which I know they'll have a couple rotten eggs), then I think that's enough for convince me to actually watch every Sunday, not every "oh yeah, it aired on Sunday night" day.

This season looks really promising. The next few episodes look good ("Adventures in Hayley Sitting", "Mistrel Krampus" which is a musical ep too. ). The writers actually said they're trying to shake things up with the Klaus' body plot and the one with Roger's home planet. And to think a lot of us were hoping for the show to end.

  26. #108

I'm actually hoping it ends in a high note with its direction so far with the good writing, but we know we have another season yet.

You mean Rapture's Delight, and that brief moment at the very end of Season's Beatings?

Yeah, that saga got pretty old...

I just think the antichrist episodes are a little much, and that they should just make an actual Christmas special again.

The thing is, it's not even a series of episodes.

It's actually two episodes, and a brief moment.

And this episode, most likely. And I still consider Season's Beatings to fit in the category, mostly because of how batshit insane it is, like the rest of them. I miss episodes like The Best Christmas Story Never Told and The Most Adequate Christmas Ever.

Scott Grimes gets an amazing musical number, if anyone wants to know.

I probably watched it about 20 times myself.
