Personally i'd say season three sealed it for me. Fly, half measure, full measure, sunset, etc.

But what can I say, I feel in love with it during episode one.

Fact: Season one is the worst season. And I use the term worst very loosely here. It gets more intense/badass every year after that.

season 5.1 was the worst season for me so far. but it's definitely laid ground for an awesome final season, so it's done its job in that respect.

edit: also this is perhaps gunna sound dickish but i'm so tired of some people hailing this as the best show ever or something. this is going to sound so pretentious and snobby, and to be honest i'm not really qualified to say this, but BB is kind of the cable drama for people who don't watch cable drama. it's a real good show but no way the best (sorry jesse/ death e.)

edit 2: this is no longer my view on 5.1, which i now view as probably the second best season of the show so far

i was half joking to what jesse said about "fucking loving this show".

i kinda hate the hyperbolic statement that "OMG best show of all time", because how would you know unless you watched a shitton of TV? I don't. like you, I barely watch any dramas. But out of all the shows I have seen this is easily the best, in terms of acting, plot progression, cinematography, you name it. I don't watch a whole lot of TV, but I still find this to be the best show I've seen, personally, and if you disagree, what can I do about it.

Yeah I haven't seen every show out there so I can't really say it's better than absolutely everything. But i've seen a lot of the shows that are considered the best on tv (The Sopranos, Dexter, Boardwalk Empire, The Wire) and I can say honestly for me, that I believe Breaking Bad outperforms all of those series in every aspect (like Red say in writing, acting, directing, music, etc).

I'd say season 4 of Dexter is "the best of TV" and 1 and 2 are up there too. 3 was boring, 5 was mediocre, 6 mostly sucked, and 7 is good so far. Still, nothing comes close to Breaking Bad.

A lot of people who don't watch it say it's because of the plot and how it doesn't seem like something they'd enjoy. I was kinda like that, but upon reading fan reviews of episodes, I watched and was hooked.
