Well this is it...the final night of Futurama. It was a nice ride while it lasted. But this season has been so "ugh" that I really won't miss the show once it's off the air unfortunately. They only had 3 good episodes this season (so far) Assie Come Home, Game of Tones, and Murder on Planet Express. T the Terrestrial and Calculon 2.0 were good too but I could take it or leave those. 2D Blacktop was just barely average. The rest of the episodes IMO sucked BALLS! Leela & the Genestalk is probably one of the worst episodes of the entire series, Saturday Morning Fun Pit first viewing it was okay on re-watch it's horrendous! Fry and Leela's Big Fling didn't do it for me it only had one funny line IMO, 40 Percent Leadbelly is another worst of the series IMO. The inhuman Torch only the first act was funny the rest of the episode was a snore fest!

I said it was good but could take it or leave it. I mean I wouldn't be upset if I never saw it but at the same time it had a few chuckles here and there.

Series finale is next week, bro. There will be a bigger sendoff for it.

You're BoJack Horseman, no cure for that.

I suppose any seasoned voice actor can be considered a guest star if they aren't part of the regular cast of voice actors.
    How to remaster

The video still says it's unavailable in my area. WTF? Did they just link the same video from the US source or something?

Chris Hardwick is hosting an aftershow for the series finale of Futurama. It will stream live on the CC website. I'm really getting annoyed with this guy so I'm hesitant to tune in...his hosting of An Evening With American Dad! at Paley Center left a lot to be desired, cause all he did was try and be funny the whole time.

Hopefully I won't have to wait too long to see the aftershow elsewhere online (Since I can't view videos on CC's site due to not being in the US)

Correction, there will be two shows...one airing before the episode, and one airing after. Groening, Cohen and some cast members will be there.

Also, @Shaunbadia, looks like it will also stream on the Nerdist Youtube page, so you should be good.

There's something wrong with the world when Futurama has 3.7 stars on Netflix and some soapy teen trash like Pretty Little Liars has 4.3 stars.

  23. #1102

I hardly give a fuck about the Netflix ratings. Most of the people who instant stream on there can get really stupid. They downvote a show because it doesn't have the latest season on. "LOVE THIS SHOW BUT HATE HOW YOUR BEHIND ON SEASONS".

Yeah, I know the ratings are sketchy at best. But for some reason that just annoys me.

it's really hard to rate certain shows overall though which fucks up shows' ratings even more.

I suppose. But Futurama is a TV classic. Something like Pretty Little Liars is at best an entertaining soap opera. I don't even care if people rate it highly, but in relation to Futurama being so low-rated it just strikes me as not right.

i wouldn't consider it a TV classic. the first season has a few boring episodes, the second season is good but you can't watch it more than a few times, the third season is more rewatchable but has quite a few duds, and season 4, well, it just doesn't hold up today almost as a whole.

Yeah, I suppose...it is pretty uneven, even in the early years. But the very best episodes are certainly among the best episodes of adult animated television. At the very least it's a near-classic.

What? Futurama is classic TV. I've seen every episode multiple times and can still watch them. I can't say that about say..Family Guy which I would consider "near-classic"

I can see both arguments. It's not my favorite show and I do find it pretty uneven, especially now considering half of it's run has been mediocre. But damn if it doesn't have some truly transcendent episodes, and it is one of the more creative programs on TV.
