Well, Chansey and Blissey can easily be annihilated with physical moves. Their base defensive stats are 5 and 10!

This conversation makes me wonder how a tier list would look if you used the Kanto and Johto Pokemon. Obviously the legendaries would be top tier but the rest would be interesting.

(P.S: Garbage tier - Metapod, Weedle, Caterpie, Rattata, Magikarp, Kakuna)

That's crap imo. Defensive pokemon should have 300 at minimum.

Someone should try to finish the game with only a bunch of Magikarp.

Magikarp can only learn Tackle and Flail right? It'd be impossible...

    STAT ENHANCERS.

But how would you beat Surge with a bunch of lv.5 Magikarps?! There's also a trainer in Kanto with 5 or 6 lv.20 Magikarps near Cinnabar Island. Most pointless battle ever!

Stat enhancers mean squat if all you can do is tackle and flail. How would you beat Brock? Could you even catch Magikarp that early?

I keep waiting for them to make Splash a 5% Accuracy 1 Hit KO move.

    That needs to happen, now!

The only Pokemon that it would be possible to do a walkthrough with for the entire game would be: One of the starters, Caterpie/Metapod/Butterfree, Weedle/Kakuna/Beedrill, Pikachu, Rattata/Raticate and Pidgey/Pidgeotto/Pidgeot. You could get to Celadon with Bulbasaur and Vermillion with Butterfree. The rest? Forget about it!

@Oh, that's raspberry! Would you do 'the challenge'? It's a challenge in which if your Pokemon faints, it 'dies', and you need to release it from your party!

Those magikarp can always struggle their way throughout the game until there are some decent TMs for them to adopt. Starting operation magikarp after receiving the old rod of course.

Oh, I read about that. That challenge contains all kinds of crazy rules. And I believe you have to let your starter pokemon go after you catch your first pokemon in the wild.

I would do it, but beating Brock must surely be impossible with a Pidgey/Rattata!

I'd do it if I had a spare game but I only own Soul Silver and I'm not erasing my file just for that. It seems kinda fun...

I used a Super Nintendo Emulator once 4 years ago to play through Earthbound. It was a wonderful game but using the keyboard just isn't the same. I'll likely never use one again.

Back on topic, my absolute favorite pokemon?

    Nope, still no Jolteon.

My Team tends to differ depending upon the mood EXCEPT Ampharos. Ampharos must always be there.

For example, my Heart Gold team last year was
    Ampharos
    Feraligatr
    Leafeon
    Gardevoir
    Camerupt
    Murkrow

I actually had a Level 80 Murkrow. I love Murkrow's design, but hate Honchkrow so I refused to evolve it.
