@GatorGhost: please don't shit up this thread, ok? It's just... seriously, go search about it if you want to know more about an elderly man getting some bones cracked by a malfunctioning door. The damn movie's been out for almost a year now.

I don't have the time to search for everything I like. I've cast many messages in a bottle into the NHC ocean ..in the past, & even recently I get great returns, sometimes you get flamed.. I well known what it's like here at times.. And it's well worth the risk to get those great, meaty, well written NHC replies.
You never know, someday somebody might see that post & lay some cool insider stuff on us.. And not just me, but everyone will benefit..

Gotta get back on the road.. Later Tonight

I've heard Glover is kind of a shit with rape jokes and other problematic stuff, though, so I don't know if I am as enthusiastic about it.

Also, Miles Morales? Like I think it's great if we get a black Spiderman in the MCU but doesn't the MCU already have a young Peter Parker? Confused now.

idk man i'm just assuming that's why he's there, it can't harm to at least set him up as a character. doesn't necessarily have to become spider-man as well.

keep in mind peter parker has been spider-man for at least 6-8 months by the the time homecoming eventually comes out so he's not too young or inexperienced

I have always had mixed feelings about the stuff they post on that Tumblr

You really get some of the worst extremes there

Well, that being said, don't take Tumblr's callout culture as necessarily the be-all, end-all of pop culture reporting, but it is something I've seen in the past and I'd be lying if I said that Glover being involved with either SW or the MCU wouldn't be disappointing to me because of what I saw on there.

keep in mind peter parker has been spider-man for at least 6-8 months by the the time homecoming eventually comes out so he's not too young or inexperienced
I dunno I'd say that still counts as pretty low in experience. It's certainly nothing like the other Avengers/Defenders who've been at their respective jobs for multiple years by now (Matt Murdock possibly being an exception to that).

Introducing Miles this early on in the MCU seems like a bit of a weird and potentially dumb move since we've yet to even get the solo Spider-Man flick in this series but I wouldn't mind it if he was brought in somewhere down the line.

As for Donald as a person, yeah, I've listened to enough of his Childish Gambino output to not really be super shocked by some of the stuff on that Tumblr and feel a bit similar to Kupo in terms of the stuff they've put on that Tumblr giving me very mixed feelings. Still think he'd be a fuckin' great as Lando regardless of some of the shittier stuff he's come out with (Not like someone's who's kind of an asshole wouldn't be good at playing a character who's also kind of an asshole).
    How to remaster

im glad someone else said it. partially informative and legitimate but definitely leaning into some extremes and makin me question myself on some stuff. nonetheless a few of the point are spot on, like everything about amanda palmer holy shit what an awful person.

Haven't seen much with Donald Glover, but I've heard nothing but good things from his acting. Looking forward to hearing more about the Han Solo film.

While Glover playing Miles Morales would be a fun meta-joke, since he's one of the real life inspirations for Miles, it hasn't been confirmed that Glover will playing Morales, just that Glover will have a role in the film. He did voice Miles in S3 of Ultimate Spider-Man though.

woo, rogue one in One week : D

rewatching force awakens tonight as a hype for it
the star-killer base destroying all those planets was such a great scene as it really showed the ruthlessness of the first order
they killed billions of people in one shot, ruthless and tragic

I don't expect it to be as good as Force Awakens but i'm still hyped for it. Should be good.

I'm not that hyped for it, but the trailers sure are helping. not expecting it to be as good as force awakens, but it'll still probably be decent enough

I think it will at least be a good and enjoyable one (maybe on par with Episode VII), but I don't think it'll be bad at all; the chance of it bombing is very low, much because it is Star Wars after all.

I didn't know Donnie Yen was going to be in this. I love him. First time I saw The Iron Monkey I was in awe.

The trailers for Rogue One are some of the best in recent memory. Even if it wasn't Star Wars I would be pumped on it.

Didn't watch the last trailer (or any international ones), excited to go in a bit more blind. Checking it out next Friday morning... it's kind of a bummer that my new schedule forbids me from seeing any Thursday screenings but at least the mad rush won't be there.

I'm excited that we're apparently gonna be getting a Star Wars movie that's a war movie. Like the entire movie is focused on getting these plans and then fighting through the Imperials or getting past them somehow. Also that the focus isn't on the Jedi, but the people who have been inspired in some way by them (or just the horrible shit the Empire's done).

The huge-ass, broken Jedi statue on Jedha (I think?) also is a really cool detail just as far as lore-building. Also kyber crystals being used to power the Death Star superlaser.

Ordered a copy of the RO lead-up novel Catalyst and am eagerly awaiting it.
