Now everyone is entitled to their own opinion and that's all good, but actually thinking and saying that you have no respect for those who like something you don't is pretty terrible; really, Pegg?

Yeah it's definitely Driver without the mask on in the scene in the snow where he and Finn are about to fight. Matches up to photos of him on set and that one particular promo shot.

I mean yeah I guess anything could happen but just seems like a needless bait-and-switch where you get an Evil Luke instead of a cool new character.

But speaking of people in full body outfits, I wanna see more Captain Phasma like nao.

EDIT: Oh yeah I was just reminded that Carrie Fisher's daughter Billie Lourd was gonna be in this. Wondering who she'll be still, hasn't been any word yet.

I'm kinda the opposite, I'm not crazy about the originals but I'm mega hyped for this new one

what's crazy is that people are still buying tickets throughout december. movietickets.com reported that over 50% of their sales went to force awakens this week alone. that's with two high-grossing movies opening too.

I do think that Ren and Rey will turn out to be twins and be the grandchildren of Padme/Anakin. Not sure which parent they will have.

As for Luke, the images we have seen of Mark Hamill so far would suggest a similar role to either Obi Wan or Yoda, but I do think there is a good chance that he is on the dark side (and would prefer this). I don't think he is Kylo Ren, but the Lego Magazine that my daughter has had a word search featuring character names from the new film and one of those was Starkiller. Now, it is possible that that is the name of the new Death Star, but considering that it was the original name of Luke's character, I think that he could be Starkiller.

Given, there is a Starkiller in the EU but I think the likelihood that this refers to that character is even less than any of the BS I spouted above.

Overall from what we've seen, a lot of the plot elements seem to likely be rehash of the OT, IMO.

well EU is non-canon for the films per abrams so they definitely could make him starkiller. I'm still hoping for the yoda thing

I will always be gay for that bad movie. I wish I could find the terrible fan art I drew of the soundtrack cover. I really loved the music in that movie; it sounds awesome in Jedi Starfighter ( that game so much)

I still don't think TPM is that bad of a movie, even after having seen it so many times.

    ewww

    http://www.polygon.com/2015/11/17/97...-force-awakens

This hasn't dampened my excitement for the upcoming film, because this won't affect that at all. But it has sort of dampened my excitement for the return of Star Wars as a whole. This is pretty weak, and it will most likely end up too much of a good thing. They could kind of pull it off, like Marvel and the Avengers universe (which seems to be the route they're going down) but it's going to be weird to end up with like 15 Star Wars films.

i'm interested in the spin off films though the main series films will always be my focus.

also i feel like star wars will go on as long as it possibly can now. george lucas isn't holding it back anymore and with such a huge giant as star wars, you might as well make use of it regularly. as long as the films are good and people like them, who cares how many they make.

i will always feel weird though considering i've lived most of my life with only six star wars films.
