Ok so Kylo Ren's voice modulator may get on my nerves at some point but I am excited.

my dad told me to turn the tv to this football game for a new star wars trailer, didn't think there would be one cuz i didnt hear about it but there was. some repeat shots of the other trailers (how many times do i need to see john boyega taking off a stormtrooper helmet?) but lots of new stuff. really cool shots and more droids revealed. that huge red one .. woow this looks good. ultra pumped again. gotta be the same one kupo linked there

annoyed at the ppl bitching that the trailer didn't say what the plot was. who gives a shit? looks like a good Star Wars movie, that's enough for me.

anybody else get their tickets? I was just barely able to get 1030 in 3D

ain't going anywhere near this movie in theaters for like the first two weeks, showings are going to be swamped and i don't need to see it that badly. hopefully after a couple weeks things will have settled down enough where i won't be driven mad when i try to see it.

I mean the plot is good guys vs bad guys what more do they want? It's freakng Star Wars.

I haven't bothered with opening night tickets for obvious reasons but hoping Fandango will have something for me in the days after in a theater that is easy to get to and not crappy.

I have been skeptical about this Star Wars movie since day one, but out of all the trailers this one is the best. This trailer really captured the spirit of the original trilogy while still having some new technology and ideas and it finally won me over. I'm now looking forward to this movie and I will definitely be seeing this in theatres.

I watched that new trailer and it sure was very good. It looks like it'll be a good movie overall (and it doesn't matter that it didn't reveal much of the plot; it'll make it even more interesting to watch at the theatre).

The fact Greedo shot period ruins the scene outright. It established Han Solo as a completely different person.

me and my dad are defo gonna see it together. star wars has been in my life forever completely because of him so i can't watch it without him. plus he's been overjoyed about it. though he hasn't been looking for tickets yet and probably won't for a while, so i doubt we'll be able to see it anywhere near the first day. he probably doesn't realize everyone in the goddamn world is gonna go see this

Why are people bitching? I like it that way--the plot should be a surprise! So much better than Terminator Genisys, where the BIGGEST PLOT TWIST was in the fucking trailer. I guess the main mystery on my mind is "where's Luke?" But the fact that they aren't showing him in the trailers or on the poster means they're saving his reveal for the film itself. And it's going to be BADASS.

I didn't hunt last night for tickets along with the rest of the world. I happened to glance at Fandango this morning and there happened to be tickets available for the 7:30 PM showing at my theater I frequent, so I snagged them. It's a 3D showing which I don't usually do, but oh well. It'll be fun.

Oh and that trailer. Good trailer. I usually find those "xxx reaction to xxx" videos incredibly stupid, but there's a video circulating of Daisy Ridley reacting to the trailer for the first time, and she cries. Pretty cute.

yea honestly I would've been fine without another trailer... I'm totally onboard with showing less than more nowadays

pretty surprised they're not doing 24 hour showings like they did with the prequels

I saw that someone took time to identify the various flags seen at 1:38 in the trailer:

    https://thecantina.starwarsnewsnet.c...5/#post-154140

Lots of podracer flags among there; I guess the one who lives in that building (likely Maz Kanata since everybody are saying it's the entrance to her castle) must be big podracing fan.

fandango just announced theaters are releasing more showtimes, so this would be a good time to jump at the chance before they also get gobbled

I just changed my ticket to a 7:30 showing now in the smallest luxury theater they have

(because c'mon, star wars with a big crowd is kind of obnoxious)

I got into SW at a very young age bc of my dad and totally know how you feel. Got all my bro's hand me down toys and played w/ Star Wars stuff before I had Barbies. I hate the fact that needing a babysitter means I probably won't get to see the movie with my dad and brother and we'd all have to do split viewings

It's a sarcastic compliment from SVT, but it's still a compliment.
I'll put it under the folder of "Good things Squeaky Voiced Teen has said".

It will definitely break a few records. With all of this hype it probably has a good chance of dethroning at least one of James Cameron's films from the top 2 spots. If it turns out to be awesome and has good word of mouth, then repeat viewings will help even more

it's been predicted to draw in $500-$600 million on the opening weekend. jurassic world drew in about $520 million i think.

also the phantom menace drew in almost one billion when that first came out so the force awakens is guarenteed to get more than one billion at least.
