I pre-ordered on Monday. 180 is a lot of money, but The Simpsons and LEGO are two of my favourite things, so this was a must for me.

For me it's about 60 EUR more expensive

Is this the first time a screen-acurate playset of The Simpsons house with all the rooms, furnitures etc has been released?

Got mine on Saturday. A nice surprise, considering when we ordered, we were told that we would have to wait until February before it would arrive.

Build the first two bags. Completed the car, the garage, two mini-figures and some accessories.

I'm torn with this. I really want it but 179.99 is so much money for some plastic. I have no idea about the way lego stands with value - does anyone know if it's likely that this set will increase or decrease in price over time? I'd like to wait if I thought it would decrease in price but I don't want to risk it increasing either :/

Check google to see if it's avaliable somewhere, and it's definetly avaliable on Ebay or Bricklink. But I'm gonna wait to buy it from the Lego Store (1st February, although I've heard 4th february too)

legit though, $1500 is quite reasonable for some legos.

The Collectible Minifigure Series might feature regular eyes then.

Finished building mine this afternoon. It took me a few days to build, but it was worth it, as it looks fantastic, and I had a lot of fun building it. I buy a lot of LEGO sets, but this has to one of my favorites.

One thing I will say, I had trouble getting my piano to stay in place, which was annoying, especially when I was moving the house around, trying to get the other bits attached to it, but other than that, it's a great set. Recommended.

I got mine from The LEGO Store Online. Only reason I got in advance was because I'm a member of the LEGO VIP Club. You got an email link and the opportunity to order the set a few weeks in advance. Should be on sale everywhere soon.

Keep your eyes out in The LEGO Movie. A Simpsons character appears in it.

What about those minifigure bags of LEGO Simpsons characters, when are they supposed to be released? I might get one of those if they arent too pricy.
I could leave the bag closed and keep it in my collection

May, and I think they'll be around 3.99$

Got to get the family with regualr eyes, and then Sideshow Bob, Skinner and Bart as "Bartman" (if they ever get made as minifigures)
