i already addressed that figuring out the actual odds of rolling those numbers with an actual pair of die is irrelevant (and therefore, the tstoaddicts post, which uses real odds is also irrelevant). because this isn't real dice, it's a "fixed" computer version. in real dice, picking 7 should win only ~45% of the time. but seriously, start picking 7 and see what happens. you will win ~90% of the time and end up getting over 100 chips per roll on average

or don't. i don't give a shit. in fact i hope people stay oblivious to this so the programmers don't catch on and change the odds

I mean it's a pretty easy grind for all the personal prizes either way. Like, the odds aren't that different either way where it would cost you the last personal prize if you picked 5 instead of 7 or whatever

for the record I've been winning about half the time by picking 5, so the EVs do eventually even out

5 tends to be pretty hit or miss. i found that i could win like 60% of the time for a while, but then hit a run where i lost 10 in a row

I'm lazy to play these gambling games. After I collect like 30 tokens I let Amy sit there playing slots because it's so tedious for me haha.

Wow! I rolled 7 nine times in the dice game and won every time! You're right, it's a sure thing.

All these people doing great on slots and I haven’t even gotten Gaming Moe’s yet.

Also, @box elder, the worst part of visiting towns is getting Krustyland when you want the normal town.

I've been doing Moe's a lot more right now since I care more about getting the upgrade tiers rather than chips. I can always rush my chip-based prizes, but I can't with upgrading my crafting tier. Cletus seems to deal out much less (if any at all) of those while Moe's constantly does.

I'm really interested to seeing what the card game is going to be like.

Hey, @Insanity Pepper, I noticed that you only have the main Burns Casino and the Burns Fountain. Why is this? I decided to do something similar and buy the Water Show fountain to complement my Burns Casino (although it still sticks out like a sore thumb at my level 11).

I generally only keep things that have appeared in the show or are otherwise normal things for small towns to have in my town, and put every other prize I happen to get in my inventory. I put Moe's casino thing and the dice shack in other areas, although I plan on storing them once the event is over. I don't want a "casino district" because I'm building Springfield, not Las Vegas. Mr. Burns' Casino isn't part of a whole casino district in the show. The only other major thing I plan to have in my town permanently (from the prizes that have already been released) is Woodstock, because I have a hippie area going and it would fit nicely in with that. I might buy some more fountains and trees though.

So the Yellow Submarine can actually generate new tiles for Squidport and Ornate pier, even if your maxed out? If so then thats pretty neat.

And so far I've made a little gambling district for this event, there's quite some fancy decoration to go along with. Though not sure if I'll keep it, my town is pretty messy as it is and I still can't afford more land. I pretty much lost all my money to that damn tree.

Got Janey a few days ago and I love that there's a plausible explanation for her ever-changing last name (powell, henderson, jackson, hagstrom)

    Someone's been reading my criticism!

I got her ages ago, but I still remember the quip about making money for yourself! That has to be one of the best jokes from Tapped Out.

Yeah as much as I'm having fun with it, I'm kind of bummed I could only put it on the far edge of town and have to keep storaging buildings to keep growing it. I really dislike how disparate the different types of casinos/hotels are, and of course the frustration of being limited to how you can arrange them. (I'd love to make it Strip-esque by having the hotels face each other but whatever) That Woodstock casino is a joke, I know, but it looks incredibly out of place with the others.

That said, I do like the gameplay of this event. The card game has literally zero strategy but I like just mindlessly tapping away while at work, and the cheats in all three are legitimately funny. I like the fact that there are three different games as well. I'm already finished with the Stratosphere-esque tower build, and the only item I have left to craft is the Spruce Moose. And of course I'm finished with the Act Two prizes as well. I have to applaud EA for making an event that has multiple games predicated on chance yet not making it frustrating and necessarily time-wasting. They've come a long way from the notoriously atrocious Easter 2014 event. Instead of being stuck with one bum item after another, you earn currencies that help you build towards more regardless of winning or losing. And honestly that's a much-better, positive and beneficial way of goading players to spend money on donuts rather than "hey maybe if you spend fifty bucks you'll finally get Shary Bobbins!"

I’m upset that I missed the chance to get the Britannia casino. At least with the Magic Act Milhouse I can probably wait until it appears in a later event. I don’t think I will be able to get Britannia at all. (If only I wasn’t an idiot and bothered to build the Reactor Core.)

    ^Likewise.

I also wanted Lucius Sweet, but have been working a lot lately so haven't had as much time to play. I don't know who Cregg Demon is, can't say I've ever heard or seen him so not bothered. Gabbo is what I must get!

I wanted Lucius and didn't come close to getting him. I just got the Woodstock Casino and had to buy new land just to place it, but have no interest in Cregg Demon.

Based on the icon for the “Hold up!” message, the grand prize seems to be Gabbo and his ventriloquist. I know some people will be excited.

The new St. Patrick's Day/Easter event just came out. Tom O'Flanagan is available for in-game money, but the game gives you a new Ned costume for free, a shirtless Ned called Shredded Ned. He even comes with different audio clips for the costume, which is pretty cool. Hugs Bunny and all the leprechauns are back for donuts. Also Gil has a new deal where you can get the Norte Dame of Springfield, which comes with Groundskeeper Seamus.

I don't care about the leprechauns or Hugs Bunny, but I might pick up Groundskeeper Seamus.

Also, for anyone else who has him, is it me, or does Cregg Demon's voice clips sound really low quality compared to everyone else's?

I don't know, it also takes pretty long for me to visit vertain other neighbours. It might be the game or our towns are getting overloaded.

Looks like we might eventually get a Springfield Badlands update, judging by this teaser:

I'm hoping for a lot more land with a new sand/desert tileset, and some cool stuff from El Viaje Misterioso de Nuestro Jomer like the coyote, the turtle, the snake pyramide. The chili carnaval could be added aswell, guess I'm hoping for too much at this point.
