brain drain is a good episode (and co-written by underground comics legend kaz!) but it's in no way a must-watch

I disagree! I think it's the best episode of the show. If it isn't a must watch, what is??

Kaz is pretty cool. He's worked on several episodes, and I think he storyboarded 'Home on the road'.

Just watched the movie. Despite having only seen half of the first season so far, not much felt lost on me aside from the obvious (battle w/ past ep references of course). Just as fun and enjoyable as I hoped, and damn that music is ever catchy.

By the way is the animation that flipping incredible for even the episodes today or did it receive a bump for the movie?

I saw the movie last night, and I loved every single freaking minute of it. Hell, I've been waiting for it since it was announced last January. The live-action/CGI movie (yes, they are making one) on the other hand, I could care less about.

Has there ever been any decent live-action film based off a cartoon? Ever?

I need something to cheer me up. This oughta do it...

'dude, we're getting the band back together' was one of the first episodes i had watched, and that one made me a fan. i mean, i liked 'it's about time' too, but DWGTBBT was really great imo

The Brendan Fraser "George of the Jungle" wasn't too bad, but yea besides that no. Why don't they just do a theatrical animated film? (although not sure where they can go after what they just did)

I e-mailed kaz to ask if this was "the kaz dimension" (because come on) and he replied a minute later with "Nope."

I really liked that double length time travel episode that weaved itself in with the earlier time travel episode in the museum. "It's getting harder to foil Dr. Doofenschmirtz's evil schemes ever since we swore that oath to obey him".

That's my favorite episode. The insane reinvention of the pilot, the museum running gags, "...or Ferb!", the multiple Candaces' final "busting"... it's all gold.

    It's also a Kaz one, I believe. He's awesome.

I've watched a ton in the last while, and does anyone else feel they should have made this a 22-minute series instead of mostly two separate 11-minute segments? I find myself enjoying the longer episodes more, the pacing is far greater and all the lines intersect in a more coherent and cleverer fashion. There's a lot of Doofenshmirtz plots that beg to be longer, such as when he creates Perry clones around the city. Even the P&F plots are stunted sometimes by the short length.

Oh and I finally caught up to the episodes with Irving, and I have to agree with Jamie, what an awful character. Despite how much Jack MacBrayer makes me laugh, I can't find this meta joke dispenser funny at all.

Just wait till you hit 'Moon Farm', Ryan. He is in top form there.

Everyone sure seems to love Kaz. His episodes are always really funny though, so I'll jump the bandwagon. Kaz rules.
You can tell when Kaz is doing the storyboards because he draws wall eyed characters. He is usually partnered with Kim Roberson, who is really good at doing expressive drawings of Candace.

Yeah, Irving has become a little less annoying.

Caught up to season three. Having some tough times right now, and this show is pretty perfect for lifting my spirits up.

Loved the movie, this was probably my favorite song from it. Catchy, hilarious, and a perfect ending

I'm just going to say it: Ashley Tisdale is really good in this show.

She really is. Some primo voice acting is not what I expected from the blond chick in High School Musical.

Anyone see Tour De Ferb? That was bad. I hope they pick up in quality.

Last night's episode was pretty good. Doofenshmirtz and Perry teaming up is always good for the lulz.

Every time Ferb says anything I laugh. I used to watch this show basically every day after school.

I thank my girlfriend for introducing me to this show. One of the first episodes I saw was "Toy to the World" and it hooked me immediately (Shimmy Jimmy, the Badinkadinks, "I love it! What are we talking about?", etc.); now I've seen nearly every episode, plus the movie, which was every bit as incredible as I hoped it'd be. "Brand New Best Friend" is one of the best songs they've ever done.

I wish they'd do full seasons on DVD, with commentaries for every episode. The DVD of the movie has "Attack of the 50-Foot Sister" as a bonus feature, with two commentaries - one from Dan, Swampy, and one of the writers that's every bit as entertaining and informative as the early Simpsons commentaries, and one with Dan and Swampy as Dr. Doofenshmirtz and Major Monogram, ad-libbing up a storm for 11 minutes, which is just pants-wettingly funny from beginning to end. "Oh, look at that, they're littering the sun!"

No qualms about the current state of the show either. All the episodes I've seen from Season 3 have ranged from good to brilliant. I particularly love "Run Candace Run", "Real Boy", and "Road Trip". And "Phineas' Birthday Clip-O-Rama" is so much better than a clip show deserves to be. ("I guess I could buy a candy bar or something.")

I'm going through this in order and just saw the Quantum Boogaloo episode. Best episode of the show, right there (so far). It felt extremely Futurama-esque to me, and it was cool seeing all the tie-ins to previous episodes.

    What are your favorite episodes?

It's a toss up between "Picture This" and "The Doof Side of the Moon": Fantastic episodes

But "Oh, There You Are Perry", "Don't Even Blink", "The Great Indoors" and "A Real Boy" are all really great...

Ah, so that's what the live-action movie is going to look like.

Seriously, I've always thought Disney's costume characters looked dumb, but that's the first time they've crossed the line into fucking terrifying. Phineas and Ferb just don't work in three dimensions.

    Lol. The Horror!

Anyway, did anybody see that new episode? I thought it was pretty good.

Edit: This Ferb mask is the stuff of nightmares.

Phineas always looks really tall in that costume. And yeah, the odd "eye-masks" on everyone else are a creative but unsuccessful choice. Buford looks pretty good though.

Just caught "Summer Belongs To You!" Really nice episode all-around, great music and a nice encapsulation of everything the show is about (especially the luxuriously lengthy final song).
