i def. would like 2 a year, as would most fans. maybe that's why FOX isn't doing it. to mess with us

I'm looking forward to watching the deleted scenes of the season 14, and especially for Moe Baby Blues.
As Percy Wellington, this is my favorite bonus feature.

oh. i thought there was perhaps a scene that was to be in the episode the night it aired (like it was in the previews), but got cut

According to Wikipedia there is a deleted scene from "I'm Spelling as Fast as I Can".

A scene at the beginning of the show where Bart rushes to do everything he planned on doing during summer vacation.

However, it was later put in the beginning of the season 17 episode "The Monkey Suit".

I'd be kinda amazed if we got that whole Bart scene from "Spelling as Fast as I Can" in the deleted scenes as it was recycled for "The Monkey Suit."

EDIT: I literally wrote this before I saw your post RJS

EDIT 2: And wikipedia is obviously correct here. Posters at the time that "The Monkey Suit" aired recognized it immediately, just read that episode's rate/review thread to see. Plus, Al Jean confirms it on the "Lisa's Sax" commentary which I recently listened to.

Ya, it'll be interesting to hear if they say anything about that

  9. #519

At least Al Jean and Matt Selman are present on all 22 episodes.

Selman being there for all of them is kinda weird to me actually; makes you think either Al was his ride home and he had no choice, or he might be the next showrunner!

  11. #521

I actually wouldn't mind if Matt Selman was the next showrunner.

Honestly I probably wouldn't either but there's no way this show has another showrunner before it ends unless FOX renews it through Season 27 at least...

There will be a featurette talking about the 300th episode ("retrospective") with the producers talking about the first 300 episodes.

There was a mistake about the 300th episode, they believed it was Barting Over whereas it was Strong Arms of the Ma.

Anyway thanks for this information again.

There will be an animation showcase for "Helter Shelter".

Yep, it was even verbally referenced in Barting Over:

Marge: I can't count how many times your father's done something this crazy.
    Lisa: It's 300 mom.
Marge: Really, I could've sworn it was 302.

I have just received GOOD News! I received who will be on the commentary for "The Ziff Who Came to Dinner".
With Matt Groening, Al Jean, Matt Selman, Ian Maxtone-Graham, Tom Gammill, Max Pross, J. Stewart Burns, Dan Castellaneta, Deb Lacusta, Nancy Kruse, Jon Lovitz

Correction: Mike Reiss is also in the commentary as well.

Fox doesn't want to play Hungry, Hungry Hippos, Fox wants you to play the Waiting Game.

The longer they force you to wait, the more likely you impulse buy these.
Well, ya'know if you stay positive and forget about trivial things like "proper characterization," "Satire," and "emotional depth" watching new Simpsons episodes can be a seemingly enjoyable lie.

I tried watching a new episode the Simpsons, but I realized the show hit a new low, like a brand new, underground parking structure of sadness.

That is great news. Could that possibly mean they're getting back to 2 releases a year? That would be awesome and long overdue.

I'm being told that FOX will not re-release the Twentieth Season on DVD but they will release it on Blu-ray. This could change over time though.

Uh, they will release it on DVD. Even five years from now, the DVD version will still outsell the Blu Ray version.

On an unrelated subject, I've been informed that the next American Presidential Election will be taking place on Wednesday, November 7th, 2012.
