That was the score in the episode which was just a take off of Super Bowl XXIV where the Niners beat the Broncos 55-10. Not only didn't they predict a future Bronco win, but they were just simply alluding to the 1989 season 1990 super bowl.

That's what they were alluding to, the fact that the Broncos were drubbed by tne 49ers. Later, the Broncos are referred to in "Sunday, Cruddy Sunday" as Moe's "favorite team." If memory serves correctly, that was the year they beat the Falcons. Didn't they also beat the Packers the year before or after? I'm a pretty big football fan but my memory is totally shot right now.

Of all the goals I have in life, the only one out of reach is to be immortalized on the Simpsons.

My bad. Okay, I meant OFF predicted that the Broncos would GO to the Super Bowl again. Then again, that's not as impressive.

It's okay, aren't none of us perfect. I've made some mistakes in this thread as well - my last post should say the Falcons are Moe's favorite team, not the Broncos.

And if Homer did own the Broncos, maybe he'd have enough money to settle the consolidated class action law suit against him.

Hey, that means Homer said he wouldn't count out the Broncos. Another Homer-Broncos connection! Interesting.

    You're right. I should've gave it a LOWER score: F.

I and S and Poochie gave everyone whom had stuck by the show since it started and were upset the direction the show was taking the finger and made it look as if anyone had an opinion they were a Comic Book Guy-ish loser. To this day, the groundlings whom defend everything and anything Simpson will continue to use the contrived, bullshit, lineage: "They've given you thousands of hours of free entertainment. If anything, we owe them!" to no end.

(For the record, I consider this line utter shite because it's the writers's JOB to make a television program. They're not a group of zookeepers whom came together to write a show just to be nice, ya' know!)

    Jake
"I & S & P" is not a satire of you, Jake. It's a satire of media strategies to hook the audience. It even says Poochie is bad, which would be criticizing themselves. Something an arrogant writer would never do. There's so much to disprove your theory that this is a message to fans you seem like a conspiracy-freak. Also, I finished my article.

Although Homer's Enemy is probably the darkest episode of OFF ever, it equally balances the darkness and the humor-- the perfect black comedy.

What was so bad about "The Canine Mutiny"? I loved the stuff with SLH and how Bart was trying to get him back after realizing what he had done. I thought that was a pretty good episode really. What did you think was so bad about it. I thought Season 8 was pretty good, and I'd gladly take Season 8 over any season that followed. The only episodes I didn't particularly care for were "Mountain of Madness", "The Springfield Files", and "Brother From Another Series".

Except for the goldfish and holy water things, it was unfunny and indecisive. Also, Santa's Little Helper makes for a dull episode.

"Homers Enemy" Is an episode that you either hated or loved.
I personally loved it however I respect the fact that some people dislike it.

The Canine Mutiny was an oddball, but okay episode. The ending was a weird, unexpected twist. But it was a decent ep.

I'm amazed Simplor gave the episode a C. It contained quite a few intelligent jokes (although I didn't understand the "That girl" reference until I turned on the close-captioning). It was fun seeing the vulnerable side of Burns, and the writers did a good job of showing us that he can't help being evil. Finally, Lisa's painful but honest (bordering on judgemental) decision not to take Burn's money was understandable, and Homer's heart attack(s) let the episode end on a high note.

I may not give the episode and A+, but a C is a bit too harsh.

Well looking back at the episodes back then, if I would have known how shity the show would have turned out oh, I probably would have been a lot nicer in my reviews.

I´m still rolling my eyes at these though

    Treehouse Of Horror 7: D
    Burns Baby Burns: D
    Mountain Of Madness: D-
The Itchy And Scratchy Show: D+

Cuz they are all excellent 9/10/10/10 worthy episodes and you shouldn´t had given them such bad grades regardless of what came afterwards or not.

But i agree with you on Canine Mutiny, Homer´s Enemy and Secret War Of Lisa Simpson and iirc you still don´t think too highly of these.
