Season Eleven Best Episode: Finals (Behind the Laughter Wins)

Interesting that gap between "Behind the Laughter" and the second and third place episodes.

Anyway, I prefer "Laughter" to "Grift" by a small amount here, if only because "Laughter's" unique format helps it stand out a bit.

Im gunna go with "Grift" on thie one. Its my favourite episode from the season. That said, BTL is still a great episode from a stinker of a season.

    Going with Grift.

Lots of old charm, a bit of awkwardness near the end...but generally an island of an episode this season.

It's hilarious and gives us a different perspective of the show without it being too dull. Good episode.

since i despise behind the laughter ive voted tactically for an average episode in Days of Wine and D'oh'ses but id still prefer that to win than BTL

In the preliminary rounds, I voted for Guess Who's Coming To Criticize Dinner and Behind the Laughter. Both are very good, but slightly flawed episodes, and I feel that the former has less flaws, since it doesn't suffer from guest stars that have little reason to be there (Willie Nelson was okay, but what exactly was the point?), and quite frankly, the novelty of Behind the Laughter does tend to wear off after the first few viewings. Therefore, Guess Who's Coming To Criticize Dinner wins on account of it being funnier, more memorable, more quotable, among other reasons.

    Behind The Laughter...the sane choice.

You know in the forum archives the title says Grift won when it didn't. Just letting you know, you've got everything set out so well and there's this glaring terrible.

Behind The Laughter. A strangely unique and funny episode for season 11.

This is not a fun decision at all. Not only did neither of my picks from the preliminary rounds qualify, but I've never cared much for any of the episodes that did make it in. I guess I'll go for Behind the Laughter, but I've always found it to be an average affair brought down by a dull conclusion and a series of uninteresting dilemmas for the family that had little to do with anything.

Behind the Laughter, even though I don't really think it's all that great.

Yeesh. We narrow it down to 6 episodes, and I still only like 4 of them. Grift of the Magi gets my vote, even though the appearance of Gary Coleman has always bugged me.

It seems like a lot of people posted that they voted for Grift, when the polls don't reflect it. Must be that everyone who voted for it actually posted.

That being said, Grift of the Magi gets my vote. Behind the Laughter is second. I've never been a big fan of the first two on this list, and the other two are pretty decent.

While none of these episodes are super great, they are the best of seven 11. I went with Behind the Laughter. When I first saw this episode, I thought it was really good. I thought the did an awesome Behind the Music parody. Now, I still think it's a decent episode, but I don't think it's as great as I used to think.

Ugh. While none of these episodes are any good, I guess if I had to pick one, it would be E-I-E-I-D'oh. Some moderate laughs and no glaring problems are the best S11 can muster. Bring on S12, please.

Wow, this really is the worst season. All these episodes listed are solid, but not a single on hits the A-range, currently the only season in Simpsons history that doesn't., Behind the Laughter, I guess.

she didnt exactly read shrek the 3rd, which apparently exists as some sort of companion book for a pixar movie. no, this would probably take several minutes (perhaps 10), and would have ultimately depricated the shrek 3 cinematic experience

she merely looked at the book

she saw it, perhaps in the childrens section of a barnes & noble, registered it in her mind as being in existance, and filed it away for later as the subject for a post on BOOKS YOUVE READ. only she just looked at it. and it was shrek 3

in a way its the saddest post ive ever read

Behind the Laughter is clearly the most memorable of the episodes listed, and its the best, mainly because of its unique format

Days of Wine and D'oh'ses, because I thought it was an interesting take on alcoholism and it had a few very funny parts in it.
Grift of the Magi and Behind the Laughter were very, very close behind though.
