    Homer's lifelong dreams

I've noticed quite a few times Marge telling Homer his lifelong dream was this or that, and he did it last year...etc. Is this the same thing as Burns not remembering Homers name ever...just a long running gag?

Here are the lifelong dreams, maybe I left some out:

    - Marge vs the Monorail: be a Monorail conductor / Run out on a baseball field during a game.
    - Coloner Homer: manage a beautiful country singer / Eat the world's biggest hoagie.
    - $pringfield: be a blackjack dealer / Appear on "The Gong Show".
    - You Only Move Twice: own the Dallas Cowboys.

The running gags might get old after a while, but I wouldn't mind seeing some a fresh one in new episodes. They can be funny used sparingly.

mentioning owning Dallas Cowboys - on this occasion does either Bart or someone else laugh hystericly at Homer? It's funny when this happens, like when Homer revealed he never graduated from high school or couldn't ride a motorbike.

I think you have them all except the one from C.E. D'oh:

"All my life I've had one dream, to achieve my many goals." Thats probably one of my favourite post classic era lines actually.

Gong show was so the best. Break dancing robots existed in the 70s?
