    Not much bonus features here.

Commentary, animatic comparisons, preview of the FG Volume 4 and AD Volume 1 box sets, and thats about all.

I bought this DVD mainly out of loyalty to the first three seasons, 'cuz I haven't exactly been blown away by the newer episodes. But this far exceeded my expectations, and I can say my money was well spent. Even the cutaways/flashbacks were hitting more than missing, which hasn't been the case as of late IMO. Many highlights, but watching Stewie & Brian get shitfaced together was almost worth the DVD price alone. Definitely the best FG offering since the show returned.

    4.5/5

...but the audio commentary was kinda boring.

I bought it for two reasons: Commentary and the fact that I needed to clean up my computer, and guess what's taking up almost a gigabyte?

The commentary is...intresting. Especially for the fact that "Stewie B. Goode" was originally just a regular episode until they decided to use the near-death experience in "Stu and Stewie's Excellent Adventure", and the whole Stu reveal at the end of the first part will not air, along with a few other cutaways that I was always suspicious about.

I do have to say it is VERY strange watching this on a TV screen, as I never burned it in hope that I would be given the DVD as a birthday gift. (in July I was confused and thought it came out on the 12th instead of the 27th) Wrong. So I just bought it with money I was given instead.

Another comment about the commentary is that I must say I was pleased that Seth and co. NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER referred this as an actual movie, but talking about them as the actual episodes they are. Thank god. Also nice to hear confirmation of the "Stewie-coming-out-of-the-closet" storyline being in the planning stages. And it will air, as they spend the entire commentary talking about what won't make it onto Fox...

Surely since it's a 3 episode story, if it has to be shown on TV they'll just show all of each episode (minus anything that's too rude) and put "to be continued" at the end of each part? If they remove the "whole Stu reveal" from the end of the first part and say it's an episode in its own right, it won't work for the other two episodes. The third part won't make sense without what's gone before.

If this is going to be on an upcoming episodes DVD as well, I doubt I'll buy the "Untold Story" DVD, the commentaries for Family Guy that I've heard seem pretty pointless so that doesn't encourage me to buy it.

Hilarious movie. Honestly, if I was going to complain, I'd say that you could totally tell that this was intended to be three separate episodes. I mean, it's completely obvious when each one ends and the next begins. That didn't make it any less enjoyable, though.

yeah, I can tell also, but each "episode" still flowed pretty well into one another IMO.

I dunno, I guess I'm in the minority in that I didn't get into the commentary. Informative yes, but too bland for me to make it all the way through in one sitting...

    I'd give it a B, possibly a B+.

Why were all the expletives bleeped? The f----ing box says UNCENSORED for f---s sake!! Unless that was only preferring to the commentary.
I don't know, I felt somewhat cheated when I didn't see any cartoon nudity or foul language. However the bugs bunny cartoon spoof was somewhat disturbing.

I think that this is Family Guy at its best - tons of funny lines, jokes, and cutaways brought at a fast pace. I plan to buy this DVD, and I have to say I was ever since I saw the commercial for it.
Bart: "Please don't call our parents!"
Chief: "I'm afraid I have to for hijinks like these. Hijinks - it's a funny word. Three dotted letters in a row."
    Eddie: "Is it hyphenated?"
Chief: "It used to be, back in the good old days, you know. Of course, every generation hyphenates the way it wants to. Then there's *NSYNC! What the hell is that? Jump in any time there, Eddie, these are good topics."

You have to select "Uncensored" from the audio menu.

Ahh, I feel like a dumbass. I was thinking that was for the commentary foe some reason. I got it now.

It was not bad. Can't compare to the original 50 episodes though. 3/5 worth the rental price I suppose.

best of the season. The only thing that really even made it a "movie" is the 20th Century Fox thing at the beggining..ish.

    Good flick, though.

Pretty much echo what everyone else here has said. It's nice to see a family guy with an actual plot, rather than a string of cutaways linked together by nothingness

Wow, I can't believe how much praise this is getting. I wasn't very interested in seeing it before, but maybe now I'll give it a chance.
