I almost chose Homer and Apu, but I went with Deep Space Homer.

I was debating between "Homer and Apu" and "Secrets of a Successful Marriage." I ultimately went with Homer and Apu. I'm still confused as to why people think Deep Space Homer is the best thing ever.......

1F10 "Homer and Apu". It always manages to make me laugh - everything from Bart's pretzel twist to Homer eating the rancid ham to the first Kwik-E-Mart in India.

APU: There she is - the world's first convenience store.
    HOMER: This isn't very convenient.
APU: Must you dump on everything we do?

And of course, I'll never forget the song-and-dance for "Who Needs the Kwik-E-Mart". An excellent episode all around.

Absolutely a great. It is in my top 5 of all time. Too bad it probably doesn't have a big enough following to win this season, which it also has Homer's Barbershop Quartet to defend against and Homer and Apu and Deep Space Homer at a lesser level.
Alot of these are really good, I just wish everyone could just watch the say six biggest contenders straight and you might just switch to the elephant, yeah baby, BGAE all the way.

I can't believe people are overlooking "The Boy Who Knew Too Much". It's one of the best of the latter Bart episodes (maybe the last really good one). Skinner's and Homer's telepathic messages to Bart are among the funniest moments in Simpsons history.
Skinner: I know you can hear my thoughts, Bart. You're going to slip up, and when you do, your ass is mine. That's right. I think things I would never say.
Homer: I know you can hear my thoughts, boy.
Meow meow meow meow, meow meow meow meow, meow meow meow meow, meow meow meow meow...

Yes, that scene that Mr. Broom mentioned was one of the funniest things ever, as was the Terminator 2 spoof in "Homer Loves Flanders", but i vote for "Deep Space Homer"

I'd say Lisa vs Malibu Stacy is the best. I'm a sucker for Lisa episodes!

It was a hard choice between "Deep Space Homer" and "Bart gets Famous", but "Deep Space Homer" one for its satire of how TV targets its audience at the "Average American Man" (Homer). "Deep Space Homer" was a great episode, chock-full of NASA satire. Some highlights were: "That horrible, horrible Planet of the Apes", the entire opening scene, the training scenes, and Homer's beautifully animated anti-gravity dance of eating potato chips to classical music was the capper. I've never seen "Burn's Heir" or "The Boy who Knew Too Much", so I can't really say about them. "Homer and Apu", "Lisa vs. Malibu Stacy", "Lady Bouvier's Lover", "Homer loves Flanders", "Bart gets an Elephant", "Secrets of a Succesful Marriage", and "Sweet Seymour Skinner's Baadass Song" are pretty great too, though.

All great episodes but I chose Deep Space Homer
"Oh my great good god, gentlemen your attention please, I am detecting a gigantic amphibious life form, It's eighty meters long and is heading right this way, oh good glayvin it's on my shoe, it's a small frog, just get off, get off, get out, get out! Stupid machine, oh this isn't the monsterometer, it's the frog exaggerator."

No doubt there, from the time they pull up and hit the deer statue through to that part and even after, it is probably the best sequence of slapstick and clever humor in simpsons history.
