What episode is it where Lisa wears a shirt saying "HOMER'S DAUGHTER" or something then it pans to Homer with a shirt saying "LISA'S FATHER" and then to Bart wearing a shirt saying "ME"?

When did the running time decrease? I feel like the episodes got shorter starting in season 10 and then even shorter with season 22.

Heh--looks like I have another question after all. I was watching A Tale of Two Springfields and regarding The Simpsons' badger problem: watching Lisa and Bart do research on what badgers eat made me roll my eyes. I said "Duh, a grenade? That'll take care of him real quick! Or some leftover fireworks from...." Then the name just left me. So, for indulgence--which episode had Bart and Homer doing all the household chores with fireworks? That one had me cracking up like crazy.

I don't understand Hugh Parkfield's line to Lisa in Lisa's Wedding: "I've never met anyone who so understood the magic of Jim Carrey." Wouldn't Lisa (and Hugh) be uninterested in the generally lowbrow, broad antics of Jim Carrey? Is it some sort of "future" joke, like Jim Carrey apparently started doing really highbrow stuff?

I think it's more about two intelligent people seeing/appreciating a little more in Carrey's lowbrow schtick he has apperently repeated for 40 movies. Maybe his antics have become artsy in 2010, or maybe it's just an observation how intelligent people can sometimes enjoy cheap guilty pleasures.

What's the song that plays during the scene in A Tree Grows in Springfield where Homer is going through the town shouting about hope while neon lights flash in the background?

The Paris theme is an original composition from the Simpsons music team as far as I know. It's in quite a few HD Simpsons episodes.

Edit: Sorry, I'm thinking of the one where he walks through the rain in Paris. It's also heard in the Ratatouille parody Itchy & Scratchy at the start of Pay Pal.

Lisa's middle name was revealed on a wedding invitation in Season 6's "Lisa's Wedding", as seen here:

Ah. You know, I always wondered if Lisa's first name was short for "Elisabeth" but that doesn't make sense because:

    1. There is already a character with the first name Elizabeth (Ms. Hoover).
    2. It's never stood for "Elisabeth" anywhere. In fact, in Mother Simpson; Bartholomew, Marjorie, and Margaret are used, but Lisa is just listed as Lisa.

Did the writers of Special Edna have issues with EPCOT/Enron and such?

Watched that episode a couple of days back, and I just wondered if Dennis or Jean had issues with that/those (MK reference at the end) parks or just issues with Disney Theme Parks in general.

maybe a bit off, but has anyone ever done an audio book recording of any of John Swartwelders's books?

Here's a joke I've never gotten. In "Hungry Hungry Homer", Homer is sitting attached to the light pole at the beginning of his hunger strike and an ice cream flies into his mouth and he says "Nice try, God. But Homer Simpson doesn't give into temptation that easily!" Then his hand starts making some weird movement and he slaps it and says "Stop that!" What was that all about?

He was so hungry that his hand was trying to eat
