There are times I'm glad Bart gets his comeuppances. He deserved them because he hurts not only his family but his friends. Even in the comics, he got what's coming to him because he became so horrible to those around him.

If he does something really Really bad then he needs the comeuppance. If it's nothing major, then I'm not glad that Bart gets comeuppance.

Sometimes he does deserve what is coming to him (especially if it's something major or really mean/cruel) and that can be satisfying (and funny too at best), but it is just that so often in the modern era he gets really undeserved comeuppance and punishment for minor things (and sometimes without good reason) which really dislike. Make the comeuppance suit or don't do it it at all, pretty much.

Less than he deserves.
And it's mostly fate's than Homer's which both sucks and rocks. I mean, that's the reckless personality of Homer as a father that helps the classic era of the show be so great to me.
