Looks like Final Space/Rick and Morty/generic adult animated comedy. Guessing it’ll be OK, then get cancelled after 2 Seasons. If I wanted comedic Star Trek, I’ll watch more of The Orville.
Just because I'm stupider than them, they think they're smarter than me!

I liked the idea of a new Star Trek series (the first since the 1970's) being an animated sitcom (it being helmed by someone from Rick & Morty sounds like a good choice, the premise and designs are pretty decent going & them apparently going for a TV-14 rating rather than the usual M rating associated with adult animated sitcoms makes it more appealing) but this trailer was really bland and all the jokes in it lame.

Hopefully this was one of those instances where the trailer is subpar and the actual product is good, but if it's not I don't think this will be more than averagely okay at best or last very long.

That was the case with Bless the Harts. Found the trailer to be lame but the show wasn’t so bad. Pretty good by the end actually.

I'm also thinking of movies where the trailer made the movie not look like much but the end result was impressive. For instance there's 'Kung Fu Panda' which really undersold the movie as a goofy, silly & childish comedy with a fat panda when the film was in actuality very well written and surprisingly profound with a lot of great things in it which really took me by surprise.

I'm not expecting anything nearly as great with this show but I'm hopeful the trailer just wasn't the series at its best.
