In October 2000 TV Guide released this special set of covers. Each cover features a "secret" star of the Simpsons TV show.
In other words: NO Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa or Maggie.

    Well, it's a "secret" star.

... but then in that case why no "Just Stamp The Ticket" guy?

I actually remember those, bought the Krusty one but I don't believe I have it anymore. It was funny seeing a Simpsons TV Guide on the coffee table of my grandmother who otherwise was very unapproving of the type of show The Simpsons was. That's what she got for subscribing to TV Guide though.

Unlike most Simpsons ads, this add for ''Homer's Odyssey'' is made from a stock image.

''Moaning Lisa'' advertising; it's a recycled drawing from the Christmas Special ad.

"Sunday nights will never be the same." How many times has an ad made an outrageous claim like that and been right?

The Simpsons and TMNT: What could be cooler than that? Both were my favorite shows back in the day.

Those TV guide ads is something that I miss. I always thought that the monochrome pictures on newspaper print was where all the charm came from.

Now TV guide is a much larger magazine in area and only uses laminated color pages and we no longer get these episode ads (or we might get one once in a blue moon).
