    Pulpit Friction vs. Warrin' Priests

In both episodes, a younger, hipper preacher voiced by a guest star arrives in town and wins the townspeople over and ends up taking Lovejoy's job. But both end with the people deciding they want Lovejoy back and the new preacher is forced out. But which episode did it better?

'Pulpit Friction' is squarely mediocre and pretty forgettable to me (though has a decent performance by Ed Norton), but 'Warrin Priests' is, for the most part, an overlong and disappointing 44 minute misfire that falls shorter than the former (especially due to the bad second half).

I agree with CousinMerl. Warrin’ Priests didn’t need to be two parts. It was just long and drawn-out and executed poorly overall. Pulpit Friction was at least a normal episode that fit things in in a normal amount of time.

Easily Pulpit. Warrin' Priests was an unnecessary 2 parter and is way weaker than Friction will ever be.

You have a point there. At least Warrin' Priests was slightly less forgettable.
