    Joni Mitchell

Have adored Blue for so many years but for some reason I haven't explored much else from her back catalogue. Finally got around to listening to Hejira and Court and Spark this week and I'm totally blown away.

    Any other Joni fans here?

my girlfriend is a big fan, so we have all of her records up to '77. my favourite is the hissing of summer lawns. dig this:

i also love the eerie title track and how she segues into 'centerpiece' in the middle of 'harry's house'. great artist.

Have been listening to Hissing of Summer Lawns a lot recently. Think I prefer these more experimental albums to her early folk ones. She really is in the same league as Bowie, Dylan, Young ect but never seems to get the same acclaim for some reason. A good nomination for a Discord discog run in my opinion, so much artistic growth in such a short amount of time.

Apparently this was Prince's favourite album, which I find interesting. Two artists I would never really have put together.

I really like Joni Mitchell, but Blue is definitely the album I play the most for myself. ^I actually play River in time for Christmas every year, gosh is it ever lovely. I actually first heard it as a cover from Sarah McLachlan in my early/mid teens (I was going through a Sarah McLachlan phase), but Joni's version was obviously better (the original of anything is Almost Usually better).
