Glad that Terence McGovern came back. But I'm not trusting this until I hear Scrooge's new voice. I really hope Tennant gives a faithful portrayal.

What's the big deal with the voice change, OSS? Actors come and go when it comes to roles, especially when the gap between the two is 26 years.

looks really fun to me, im sure people will freak out about the nephews voices though but tbh I'm glad they all have completely different sounding voices now as that should make them have much more distinct personalities. I really dig the new artstyle it looks more like the comics and Scrooge sounds pretty damn good.

It looks interesting (voices on the boys are kinda odd tho, but everybody else sounds fine) but we all need to know @OldSchoolerSimpsons' thoughts.

Seems kinda nice and interesting; I sort of like how the art style is sort of this flat comic bookish flavor and it seems like Donald is very involved in comparison to the old series (and Scrooge sounds pretty good and Launchpad does too, but the nephews do sound too old).

It's flawed, but it wasn't awful. It's well enough drawn (although the animation is a bit choppy), and David Tennant does a... fine job. He's no Alan Young, but you can tell he's trying. He's Scottish just like Young, which helps. Beck Bennet also sounds pretty close to Terence McGovern, despite being a lot younger. Still hoping for McGovern to get some kind of guest role though. Tony Anselmo was great as always. There were one or two good lines, like "Oh no, the ground!" being the best one.

Now the bad stuff. They seem to be hinting at a remix of the DuckTales theme, which has been remodeled to a more modern-sounding version. I'm not sure I like that. The original version works so well because it really was perfect. There was nothing needed to improve. Also, the voices for Hewey, Dewey and Louie... what the hell was that??? I'm fine with distinct voices, but make them sound like kids at least. They all sound like they are in their fourties, same case with Webby.
Another thing, does anyone else think the color grading looks kinda... gray? Make it more colorful, have the environments shine.

In short, an okay trailer. But it doesn't erase all of my qualms.

I will admit that I'm nervous about this.I had lived my life up until last Wednesday on the tenets of the original DuckTales and if they ruin that for me what do I have left? Was it all just a lie?

I wish the style was closer to the style of Carl Barks or Don Rosa, but I guess that would cost 1 million per 10 minutes. It's too "edgy" for my taste and the tone resembles of those modern animations like Adventure Time and...err... other Disney shows that have very exaggerated facial expressions and feed you with a constant stream of jokes.
I always liked DuckTales (and Gummi Bears) because of their realistic settings and slow-paced storytelling. The immersion was real, and you weren't bored even though nothing interesting was happening, just watching the animation and water-colored background and listening Ron Jones' orchestral score was satisfying enough.
But I'll give it shot, before judging more.

I'm wondering how the new theme song will sound. Will it be a cover of the old one?

So is this supposed to be an adventure show or comedy?
I don't remember the classic series had any jokes apart from comical replies by Launchpad.

Apparently the intro video posted on the Ducktales Facebook page had a better mix; the Youtube one had the sound effects drowning out the song.

As for the song, the woo-hoo's need a bit more emphasis, but I still like it. It'll never beat the old theme though,

Looks good. I really like that they're trying to do a new spin on the show and not just slavishly stick to the exact feel of the 80s version. Hopefully kids will enjoy the show.

I remember watching the old DuckTales as I was growing up. With the new DuckTales coming around, I don't know if I can watch it.

Do you need to watch it, though, @angeldeb82? I admit to being curious about it and will probably watch one out of interest, but it seems like they're trying to go for a new generation of fans.

so does donald have a more pronounced role in this version? in the original he made few appearances, and was deployed in the navy most of the time.

I don't know if I like th redesigns for some characters but I do like the design of the backgrounds and such. The halftone/comic pattern is cool.
