This is a case where if he doesn't win it, voters will look back and really regret their decision. What more can the man do?

And that Rockets/Spurs eventual matchup (after the easy Griz) is... oof. Not too confident about that one.

Well, Boston holds onto the first seed, Miami is out, and if the Jazz win all they need is the Clips to lose. And with that said, I keep wondering if the Cavs won't be able to flip the switch against some of the tougher Eastern Conference teams, particularly the Celtics. Not counting on it though.

But... only three days till the Playoffs begin, get hyped

    NBA Round 1 Predictions:

Celts over Bulls( this will go 7 tho and wouldn't be surprised with a Bulls upset)
    Cavs over Pacers
    Raptors over Bucks
    Wizards over Hawks

    GSW over Portland
Spurs over Memphis( could see Memphis with the upset here maybe)
Rockets over Thunder(this is def the most intriguing series of the first round)
    Jazz over Clippers

    East:

    Celtics over Bulls (in 6)
Cavs over Pacers (this is when the Cavs will turn it on, and the Pacers barely made it, so I expect a 4 game sweep)
    Raptors over Bucks (in 7)
    Wizards over Hawks (in 5)

    West:

Golden State over Portland (4 game sweep)
    Spurs over Memphis (in 5)
Rockets over Thunder (hopefully to 7)
Clippers over Jazz (as much as I can't stand the Clips, I think they'll take it in 6 games, choke in the next round, and come back next year looking a lot different)

    East:
Celtics over the Bulls in 6 (The Bulls do play really well against good teams, but I don't see them pulling this off)
Cavs over Pacers in 5 (Sadly, I don't think the Pacers can keep up with the Cavs. I see the Pacers winning one game in like game 2 and then the Cavs kicking it into gear and destroying them)
Raptors over the Bucks in 7 (This is probably gonna be the best series in the East)
Wizards over the Hawks in 5

    West:
Warriors over the Trailblazers in 4 (GSW are firing on all cylinders right now. They will win this series easy and probably the next too)
Spurs over the Grizzlies in 5
Rockets over the Thunder 5 (The matchup everyone wants to see. Should be a great series. Westbrook will steal a game or two, but overall wont be able to match The Rockets)
Jazz over the Clippers in 7

Stoked to see The Jazz pull that one out. Can't believe Gobert got hurt on the first fucking play. Would be a rough go without him.

How about the Cavs squeaking by with a one-point win? I think Indy might give them at least a little bit of a scare tbh

Also, Spurs smashing the Griz is just mmm good

Don't really like the Celtics but gotta give it up for Thomas. Was making me tear up. Felt it was p shitty for them to keep cutting to him crying pre game and stuff.

It's starting to look like the Celtics really should've pushed for Butler before the trade deadline. If they lose they go down a 2-0 hole which is kinda shocking for a first seed

And that ends another mediocre Pacers season. Will be very surprised to see George in a Pacers uniform next season.

With how much frustration he's shown towards the organisation and his teammates, I agree. But George in a Lakers uniform though (if he moves in 2018)? Please yes

  14. #134

Johnson has already been saying he wants to bring George to LA, that said he could try another year if they're open to bringing in a big name to help George, but I doubt it.

    Rockets over Spurs in 6
    Jazz over GSW in 7

    Cavs over Raps in 6
    Celtics over Washington in 7

  16. #136

Rockets over the Spurs in 6 (gonna be a great series)
Warriors over the Jazz in 5 (I don't think there's a team that can beat a healthy GSW more than once maybe twice if you're the Cavs [I'd love to be wrong tho])

Cavs over The Raptors in 6
Wizards over the Celtics in 7

    Lol @ Clippers elimination. Anyway...

Rockets over Spurs in 7 (I think their faster tempo will win out)
Warriors over Jazz in 5 (Utah has a stingy defense but their offense will stall)

Cavs over Raptors in 6 (easy choice)
Celtics over Wizards in 7 (entertaining match-up, for sure)

really hate that the wizards had to turn around and play 2 days after finishing up the last series (though i know the celtics had the same situation, so it's no excuse). it's amazing how bad this team is in the 3rd quarter, btw. if i had the time to compare their third quarters with the other 3 quarters in terms of +/- points this season, i bet the difference would be staggering

I swear the Cavs will just bulldoze everyone in the EC until the day LeBron retires. Just look at this game right now

With the inevitable Warriors/Cavs matchup looming, at least we have this Rockets/Spurs series to add at least a little excitement to the lame ass second round. Thrilled with that SA win but hope it goes to 7 games tbh

Spurs defense is outstanding this game, Harden just isn't there at the moment.

It blows knowing SA will close out this series battered yet triumphant, only to likely get smacked next round by the god-mode Warriors. Really hope Bron takes it to them in the Finals.

Rockets have also put up only 9 two-point field goals (outscored 92-18 from 2 point field goals), which I'm pretty sure is amongst the lowest total made 2-pt FGs for a game in NBA history. I have no doubts about Spurs' defense but more importantly this is one of the worst Rockets games I've seen in recent memories; it's honestly pretty laughable considering how good this matchup looked on paper. And this was without Kawhi Leonard on the court... lmao

Moving on though, I'm actually excited now that we finally get to see the Spurs-GSW conference finals matchup that people have been wanting for the past few years.

You were right at first, and then all of a sudden, it just got a whole lot harder. Spurs were cruising, and then Zaza happened because of course.

At least we can go toe to toe with GS as long as Kawhi is on the floor. Hope he's alright, that looked bad
