The 90's rap is better than modern one.

Ringo The 4th is an underrated Ringo Starr album with a really fun disco vibe.
Paul McCartney is good enough he doesn't need to retire. (And even if he started sucking, I wouldn't want to take his passion away from him)

I think those tunes he came out with a little while ago were alright. He's not what he used to be, but if he still enjoys making music he should. Nothing he comes out with will do anything to tarnish the legacy he's built over the years, and if even just a few songs are good here and there, then it's worth it, kind of like the simpsons.

I don't think those two are the same thing. Paul McCartney is just one man doing what he loves while The Simpsons is a corporate product (at this point at least) getting milked for money. Plus there are far more good recent McCartney songs than solid new Simpsons episodes.

Fair enough, but I prefer watching new simpsons than listening to new McCartney. I think McCartney has done some pretty dreadful stuff.

The likes of Perry, Minaj and Derulo are a disgrace to music and should have stopped making music a long time ago (they would be tolerable as one or two hit wonders)

Miss You by The Rolling Stones is a terrible song. I like the Stones and I like disco but they don't go together. Mick Jagger's voice doesn't work in any genre that isn't rock.

Scott Joplin is one of the most important musicians of all time and he doesn't get enough credit

How You Remind Me by Nickelback isn't half-bad

Tchaikovsky is better than most classical composers and is on the level of Bach, Mozart, and Beethoven

Uma Thurman by Fall Out Boy is an absolutely wretched song

    Most dubstep is good

Most hair metal is also good

Ukeleles should never EVER be used in non-Hawaiian music, and steel guitars are the better instrument for Hawaiian music anyways

Church hymns are actually really good and I'm an atheist

Charles Manson's music was really good

    Bladee is garbage

the new pornographers brill bruisers is one of the best albums of the 2010s and quite possibly their best album (together is pretty great too)
for someone who really likes 2000's canadian indie rock as much as i do its weird how broken social scene doesn't do anything for me

the stones' "psychedelic" records are their best

animal collective in their prime were a great live band

    00s > 60s

post punk should sound like the fall instead of joy division (closer is so fucking tedious)

orchestral art music (ie "classical" music) doesn't work unless you go see a live concert (remember concerts)

x ray specs were the best british punk band
the argument is the best fugazi album
brighten the corners is the best pavement album

+ all my other opinions posted here, im surprised by how little ive changed :v

Really? In the 60s we still had The Who, The Rolling Stones, The Yardbirds, Jimi Hendrix, Cream, Bee Gees, The Guess Who, and even the beginning of Led Zeppelin. What acts do you think put the 2000's over the 60s? Outside of a few exceptions like Gorillaz, I thought 2000's music sucked. I guess it all just depends on what kind of music you like at the end of the day though.

Don't forget Ray Charles, Doris Day, Janis Joplin, Tom Jones, Elvis Presley, James Brown, Roy Orbison, Aretha Franklin, Chuck Berry, Bob Dylan, Peggy Lipton released her only (but incredible) album... I know it comes down to taste, but the 60's had so much more than just The Beatles.

Yeah, The Beatles achieved such amazing critical and commercial success across most of that entire decade that it's easy for people to overlook how amazing the music scene in general was.

They did also make music in the 1890's, 1900's, 1910's, 1920's, 1930's, 1940's and 1950's, and maybe earlier than 1890.

Nope, there was. The oldest surviving piece of music recorded was made in the 1880's.
