Rate & Review: Family Guy - This Little Piggy (CACX06)

Applying for a model job, Meg thinks they are after her looks, but it turns out the photographer is only interested in her feet, so she after short convincing becomes a foot fetish model. Meanwhile, Stewie decides he is seeing too little of the outside world and takes Brian with him on the experience.

Rate and review the episode upon airing.

Nice start to the episode and the subplot was funny. I liked Brian's pill bit. Traction was lost when the main plot shifted to Meg, aside from Chris' wheel bit.

The death was pretty shocking and the bit that followed was funny.

ACT ONE: Meg says she's never been in a photo.

ACT TWO: Chris pulls out a photo from Meg at the beach.

    Oops!!

Anyway, I thought this was a decent episode. There weren't a lot of gutbustingly hilarious gags, but I did laugh quite a bit. The whole Cassandra thing... eh, it was pretty stupid. I'm just glad they didn't go through with Brian and Stewie having the three-way. Also sorta nice to see an episode where Peter and Lois' marriage isn't in shambles. Laughed a lot at the "15 minutes later" gag, even it was gross.

Hated the joke where Joe watches "Tower Heist" and then says "oh lol these guys cant do a robbery". They've done that so many times; character talks about a bad movie/show and explains the generic logline as if it's super inventive. Ironically, the joke is as predictable as the movies themselves now.

Also, the opening producer credits were played over a cutaway (a pretty bad one too) which pisses me off more than it should.

Mostly boring. Meg's story was mostly dull apart from the end with Joe. Stewie's story was ridiculous but more watchable than the main plot.

Really weird but enjoyable episode. Liked most of the cutaways too sans that Wizard of Oz one which I swear is a joke they've done before in a MacFarlane show (Dunno if it was in Family Guy, Cleveland Show or the Cavalcade thing, but I'm sure they've done it).

    ^Calvacade, Shaun, I'm pretty sure.

Aside from one or two meta jokes, this was fairly mediocre. The epitome of baseless, emotionless Family Guy writing just to hang jokes on.

And yeah, Chris masturbating to Meg's feet is just... ugh, stop it.

Aaaaw crap, now that made the joke in this episode less funny.
That Cavalcade version went on for too long though. The problem with most of the Cavalcade shorts is that they would be funnier if they were shortened down.

Well, thank God. It wasn't at all as bad as I was expecting. But it wasn't good either. The main plot was stupid and even though the episode was about Meg, they didn't focus all that much on her but more on relying side jokes and cutaways. The subplot was superior, but not very strong. The jokes were hit-and-miss and I really hated the photographer who was shooting Meg's feet. He was just a dick. I mean, I know that was the point, but that wasn't the only thing annoying about him, I also disliked his voice.
The best jokes I think were the meta dig at the poorly animated XXX parodies of Family Guy, the Jason Biggs cutaway (even though I have nothing against him) and Brian's line "Stewie has AIDS." when trying to win over a girl they both were fond of.
Just a anecdote, but I think this has to be the first time they use the word "fanny" to describe female genitals, not an ass. Kind of surprised how they got away with also repeating the word about ten times, but hey, if they can show pretty much all of "Fresh Heir", this is no different.
I feel horrible for laughing, but the "15 Minutes Later" really cracked me up. I'm glad it was just implied what he did, because any more detail than that would've made me throw up. The final moment of the episode... Well, I loathed how Joe's foot had gotten pregnant, but I chuckled at how he thought it was because he watched Tower Heist.
Incredibly forgettable and the first meh episode of the season.
By the way: really, really, really hated all the creepy men surrounding Meg to... get a taste of her feet, but it was at least satisfying to see Peter and Lois being concerned parents. Continuity is weird on his show. First you see Peter ripping his ears off because he can't stand Meg's talking, then you see him being relieved his daughter is okay.
5.5/10... No wait, you know what? 5.4/10, this episode wasn't inspiring enough for even a low 3/5. And that's only because the episode could have gone much farther, but it restrained itself enough to not become completely off-putting.

gotta love that random aside about censorship and the word fanny

(btw, there's no way they meant vagina)

Awful, even most of the cutaways were completely humourless.

I wish they'd stop with that stuff too, but I was amused enough by the Wheel of Fortune style porn genre selection that I was willing to let it side. At this point they can't really do much worse than what we were treated to in "Halloween on Spooner Street".

I really don't want to review this episode. I'm seriously thinking that this might be the worst episode of Family Guy I've ever seen, but yet I'm not too sure about that. It's at least up there though. Now this episode isn't as disturbing as I thought it was going to be, but it's still pretty fucked up at times. Like the whole shoekakke scene which is just creepy and the whole subplot where Stewie and Brian are about to get laid at some kind of festival, but this girl dies from overdosing on drugs. I also noticed that there was quite a bit of gore in this episode especially in a couple of the cutaways. I guess it's because the show can be so desperate to make people laugh that they think excessive gore will make people laugh. Now the biggest problem I have with this episode is that it's not funny. I didn't laugh a single time during this awful episode and all the cutaways and jokes this episode were so painfully unfunny and during most of this episode I was saying to myself "How is this funny?" constantly and I don't think anythings made me do that before. I've said this before, but this episode is a shitty version of Meg and Quagmire except with this episode it doesn't have any comic relief to tone down the creepiness. The only joke in this episode that was close to being funny was that stab at Family Guy hentai, but even that one fell flat.

Now I know that humor is subjective, but I fail to see how this episode could be considered funny in any way. It's just a typical modern Family Guy episode that the writers pulled out of their ass and it's just as horrible as something from season 11. Sorry, I know this review isn't very good. I just have so little to say about this episode despite how fucking awful it is. It's just shit, let's leave it at that. 1/10 (Can't believe I accidentally voted 2/5.

Even though the promos looked bad, this episode was actually quite amusing and well thought-out. 4/5.

4/5. Decent Meg story (better than expected), also a fun Stewie & Brian story, and good jokes as well (although the Meg being born clip was lame). Lol'd when Peter said "hey there's an animated version of us doing it on that site, who put that on there??"

surprisingly enjoyable. they took sort of unbelievable ideas like meg being a model/porn star (bearing in mind how UGLY she is supposed to be) and made it believable by it being her feet. appreciated that meg wasn't bashed too much as well. subplot was nice too. i mean it was stewie and brian at a music festival. kinda writes itself. cutaways were pretty enjoyable. jason biggs one in particular. high-end 3/5

I pretty much agree with you except that I chuckled twice. 2/10 for me. This episode proves that women can't write for adult animation.

A hideously late review I know, but I'm still catching up on Family Guy's more recent seasons on DVD. I like to read the comments of others after I have watched the episodes, and then add my own, and I'll continue to add my own episode scores for Season 13 to my signature when I watch the episodes.

This Little Piggy was a decent episode. I enjoyed the Brian/Stewie B-Plot a lot more than the Meg storyline, but both of them held up well. Some funny cutaways too. My favourite part was Stewie's "itchy blanket" sketch, with his various uncomfortable sitting positions on the itchy blanket from the car. So true and so relateable! Brilliant sketch!

Funniest Line: Meg: Mom, Dad, don't try to pretend you care. Peter: Oh, thank God! [Sits down and turns on TV]

    Score: 6/10
Family Guy Season 18: Yacht Rocky 3/5, Bri-Da 2.5/5, Absolutely Babulous 3/5, Disney's The Reboot 4/5, Cat Fight 3.5/5, Peter and Lois' Wedding 4/5
