    R&R American Dad! Blonde Ambition

In the TBS premiere Hayley decides that she might get more attention if she becomes a blonde. Meanwhile, Stan and Steve go on a mission to find a new home for the Smiths.

remember, TBS is only keeping it online for 48 hours, so snatch it while it's hot!

this is a weird sorta neat idea to show it online first, but i'm guessing the actual premiere on TBS will have abysmal ratings because of it

Decent episode. It went back an forth between being funny and kinda boring like some of the lesser episodes from last season. Also again Stan is getting wackier and we really don't need another Peter Griffin.
    3/5

Also it was kinda nice to be able to hear them casually curse now without being bleeped and without it feeling forced.

i guess it was ok? i dunno i didn't really laugh but it was fairly clever. it had some decent lines and i did like stan miming at the house. the security guard dying was also pretty funny especially roger's line about them killing him. but overall i just wasn't feeling it. it had lots of snappy lines but there wasn't a lot of punch. the "fuck you" ending was pretty great and when they said "shit" i went "woah". i'll go with 3/5.

anyone notice the TBS press release had the wrong writing credits? Mike Barker didn't write this one. it was Wayne Dublin, Carlo Hart & Evan Sandman (the last two are also given story credits)

Alright episode, slightly better than the 3 Roger episodes I guess? There were some good jokes here and there like Snot in Steve's dream and Roger's lines about not dancing, but wasn't really laugh out loud like I hoped. The stories were decent, Hayley's plot kind of confused me with the weird reverse environment lines, but had some good stuff, and Stan searching for a new house because of fliers was funny, though I'm getting worried about Stan finally declining into full retard in the TBS seasons (he already showed himself being stupider than usual in Season 9, not sure if he'll get better in the future).

Overall, decent premiere, despite a bit of clunkiness here and there, it had enough to keep me interested, and still gives me hope this Season might turn out to be good. Overall: 3/5.

Also, the cold opening and unbleeped shit caught me off guard. Gotta love cable, mmm. Also, something about the animation seemed off to me, can't really put my finger on it.
Just because I'm stupider than them, they think they're smarter than me!

It was odd. The Steve/Stan subplot was stilted and awkward with only a couple of good laughs, Hayley's shit line felt forced and I liked the ending but overall... eh. It felt kind of like TBS forced a bunch of edgy fan service, and it kind of came out boring in exchange. Voted 2/5 which I guess feels a bit too harsh (I did laugh a number of times), but it also felt fairly forgettable.

Also I don't like the idea of AD having a cold open.

I don't think I even noticed an unbleeped use of the word "Shit". I know Stan saying "God Damn" stood out to me though.

Anyway, I'm pretty much on the same wavelength as the rest of you with regards this episode. It was very middle of the road, just about passable. Nothing particularly bad but nothing that was super great either. I think out of all the gags the episode had the on I particularly enjoyed most was Stan noting that "I don't think this bit's gonna get any funnier" when the 3rd dog fell down the chimney. Oh, and Francine dressed as Hayley looked weird as fuck. I'm amazed TBS didn't use the dance off in more promotional material. Fan service type stuff like Francine shaking her boobs or Hayley shaking her ass seems like the perfect fit for advertising this so-called "Edgier" season of American Dad.

I hope a version of the episode pops up online that doesn't have those two promos included though. One of the benefits of viewing stuff online like that is not having anything interrupting the show. 3/5

Ah. See, I just watched that part again and I think I didn't notice because she more or less mutters it. Wasn't all loud and obvious like Stan saying "God Damn".

also does anybody find it really weird that the TBS premiere episode is a hayley episode (the character arguably focused on the least), and not a roger one which y'know, you'd think they would.

not that I'm complaining I just found that interesting.

it was decent enough but not that interesting. hayley as a blonde and francine duped up in HAYLEY attire was a fun design, and that story was ok, but stan and steve's home story did nothing for me, but the purposely shoddy conclusion was pretty funny. not a great premiere. 3/5 i suppose

American Dad, fox or no fox, is boring as fuck nowadays.

The blonde Hayley plot was marginally better than the Stan-Steve one, altho I half-smirked at Snot with tits.

Huh, well, it wasn't terrible. I did feel ever so slightly "different," unless I'm just projecting the move to TBS. But yeah Steve and Stan didn't do much for me. And apparently I missed a bunch of Roger episodes or something....

I thought it was alright. It was better than the last three episodes on fox, so there's that. The humour was pretty good, the plot was ok. The humour mostly saved it, and i'll say the swearing was subtle and not forced imo so that's a good sign. 3/5

Yeah, FOX burned off the last 3 episodes a few weeks ago before any of the other animated shows came back for the current season. they all were very Roger-centric and count as a season on their own. A 3 episode season.
