That's kinda why I'm starting up work on it already though, to get a good head start. But I won't be doing any recording for it yet, that's too early.

I'll start editing another scene of the first episode fairly soon, the only one I can do right now without Matty's other lines.

    Not really.

We'll have to get back to writing on it some time.

Episode 2 is already in production...

It's at a very early stage, but hopefully this comes together more quickly than episode 1 did.

You'd have to be deliberately sabotaging it to make production any slower surely?

I had a lot of bad luck with episode 1, if everything went more smootly it probably could have been released within 6-12 months.

It didn't take three years, I didn't even decide to start animating this episode until January 2016.

A few days ago when I was drawing a new frame pixlr started hanging up and I was forced to close it with the file unsaved. It pissed me off so much! So instead of redrawing it the exact same way, I decided to go for a more creative method and handdraw the first frame instead. The movements will be digital, but for this short segment most of the actual art is handdrawn. I might do this with one more scene if it ends up looking good.

Hand drawn, it actually doesn't look half bad to be honest.

I mean the lines look good. Still don't believe people always lean their arms on the front of their body though.

You're coloring each frame on paper individually? Those backgrounds are gonna be wobbly.

No, I'm just using the same frame and move the mouths around (digitally adding mouth movements). After I have to change the angle or the setting, I will go back to the usual digital style again. But I might try this method with another scene in the episode as well, just because of how good it looked.

it might be best if you colored it digitally. the actual coloring looks awkward here

Yeah digital coloring would be more balanced. The strokes of the pen are gonna be a bit distracting.

And I'm surprised at how dark Johan and Rachel look there, which might be another issue as far as color consistency.

Keep that frame and perhaps some others if you want to include a scene where they're all high on mushrooms or something, but otherwise keep it digital throughout.
