What if the Simpson family had aged a year, every two seasons or so. Here is an rough outline of the ages of the Simpson family through the seasons.

    Seasons 3 and 4: Homer and Marge 37, Bart 11, Lisa 9, Maggie 1
    Seasons 5 and 6: Homer and Marge 38, Bart 12*, Lisa 10, Maggie 2
    Season 7 and 8: Homer and Marge 39, Bart 13, Lisa 10, Maggie 3
    Seasons 9 and 10 Homer and Marge 40, Bart 14, Lisa 12, Maggie 4

This could have meant that The Simpsons would have remained more Bart than Homer-focused. Also it would have been interesting who would have done the voice of Maggie (After she says her first word in Season 4 probably) . Also Skinner and Krabappel, would in time go into the background as both Lisa and (especially) Bart graduate from Springfield Elementary. Although it could have been possible for Krabappel to be Bart's 5th grade teacher.

^You can't just keep ignoring Dundee's what if, that's not the way this works.

If he was still showrunner, the show would've been considered to have gotten better in quality and never hit a low point (unless Al becomes showrunner after), and the Simpsons could still be relevant today.

At first, that'd make for an interesting concept, but it'd get really messy and convoluted by the time Bart and Lisa are out on their own (the show switching between the main characters constantly would get annoying).

What if Homer's catchphrase was "dammit!"?

I would see a second Mirkin era following the Scully one as a continuation of sorts of the Scully era. Although there would be more clever satire and the plots would not as whacky as they got in the Scully era.

He would soon be visited by an interdimensional imp called the "Dam-Mite" !!! He's Homers biggest fan, but creates unintentional mayhem with his powers... DAMMIT!

What if Number_One & Dundee became Itchy & Scratchy?

I don't think it would become anywhere near as memorable as D'oh.

The cartoon would fail miserably because of everyone's inability to type the name into search engines correctly.

Then I guess we’d get one more Herb episode. What if Homer picked up Brian instead of SLH?

Homer would have had to wait by the Detroit One centre. Because there is only one tower, he wouldn't have been able to use the toilet at all and would have ended up in hospital having a catheter installed while the car was thrown into Lake St Claire.

EDIT: Whoops. I was too slow typing my answer. Max Power beat me to it.

The Simpsons would be way more sanctimonious and episodes like "Dog Of Death" would just be cringeworthy.

He could have helped Lisa bust into the museum! ... but probably would have inadvertently destroyed the exhibits.

Homer’s finally got his promotion, leading to a local nuclear Armageddon. What if Lisa was an albino like Wendell?

I didn't know Wendell was albino! I always assumed he was just pale and sickly...

If Lisa was albino, I actually think they could have gotten a lot of really interesting episodes out of it. She might rely much more on jazz improvisation, for example, since people with albinism often have problems with their vision, which would make it hard for Lisa to be such a teacher's pet (she may have trouble reading the blackboard). She could also wear cool shades!
I need to draw this. Be right back...

... okay, If Lisa was albino: a veeery very quick Photoshop sketch:

Then I guess Bart would be devastated after he and Lisa find out the truth. What if during the events of TSoNY vs HS Bart make a prank pizza order to the cryogenic lab?

The show would still be accused of going downhill after Season 8.

They would have won that contest without having to call Bill Clinton.

What if Maggie was not in the show in the first place? What would really change?

It depends on when Maggie was finally introduced, but "Maggie Makes Three" wouldn't have been a flashback episode.
If Maggie was never introduced, I think Marge would have a lot more time for Lisa, and she'd be more bratty.

What if Bart is actually a smart kid and just can't concentrate on school work because it's boring and irrelevant?

There would probably be an episode where they do an IQ test revealing that Bart was a genius, Lisa would get petty and jealous at the idea that Bart is as smart as her and would try to sabotage him, then the episode ends with Bart saying he doesn't care about working hard and is going to stay lazy and he and Lisa would get closer and understand each other better or something.

Now let's go in the opposite direction. What if Lisa wasn't a genius or talented in jazz and was just a dumb kid?

She'd probably be a sweet kid, fit in better with her classmates.. probably follow Marge's fast track to the married with kids life.

What if Wendel stopped being so queasy, gained a lot of confidence, and asked Allison out on a date or dance?

It would probably go really well because she thinks he's the "strong, silent type", but unfortunately the status quo reigns supreme and in the end, he pukes on her. But -- TWIST! -- she likes him anyway, because she knows it wasn't his fault, plus her parents own shares in a sawdust company.

What if Krusty was a kind, caring person who put others' needs before his own?
"I should have washed my underpants today" is a perfect example of iambic pentameter.

Actually, Sideshow Bob wouldn't have had any motivation to scheme. I was wondering more about how Krusty's TV show would be and what would have happened to Bart...
Sorry that's all I have to add. I really don't know what would happen if the Bowlarama had high marks on Trip Advisor and Yelp. TBH, I have no evidence that it doesn't already.

(Congrats on your 12,000 posts, though. That's impressive.)

To recap, the current what if is:

Nice Krusty - mean Krusty, Bart-no Bart.. fate would guide Bob in every outcome to be a villain genius. the universe makes Bart & Krusty the way they are to check Bob's power.. otherwise an unnatural imbalance would occur if Bob were to have no hurdles.
