    Interesting picks.
While Lisa The Iconoclast has the great one-time character with the man managing the museum, the ending is so goddamn terrible. I mean, just to make everyone happier, she decides to chicken out?! What the fuck?!
Lisa The Skeptic though is funny throughout and has one of the greatest, funniest and most unexpected twist endings ever, so this one's not hard for me.

Lisa the Iconoclast is one of the most underrated episodes ever. I'm not a huge fan of the ending, but everything up until then is basically perfect. On the other hand, Lisa the Skeptic is annoying. Neither Lisa nor Flanders, Lovejoy, et al are the least bit likeable. There are things about it I like, but the characterizations really hurt it.

    Lisa the Skeptic: 4

Indeed, Lisa the Iconoclast is underrated, but Lisa the Skeptic is still one of the Season 9 classics imo with a great plot and a good characterization of Lisa.
Currently re-watching all of the show, from Season 26 backwards. So far :
    Seasons Ranking : 23 > 26 > 22 > 24 > 25

Best and Worst from each season :
S21 (so far) : The Devil Wears Nada / None so far..
S22- Angry Dad: The Movie / How Munched is That Birdie in the Window?.
S23- Holidays of Future Passed / Moe Goes From Rags To Riches.
    S24- A Test Before Trying / Love is a Many-Splintered Thing.
S25- Brick Like Me / What to Expect When Bart's Expecting.
S26- I Won't Be Home For Christmas / The Man Who Came to Be Dinner.

@Jerkass Homer I realized you haven't made a match so far. Maybe you'd like to have the honor this time?

A Tale Of Two Springfields is funny, but Trash Of The Titans is more of a classic to me. Hideously underrated episode!

Trash Of The Titans got to be one of the most overrated Simpsons episodes of all time. A Tale Of Two Springfields on the other hand is a guilty pleasure of mine. It sucks plotwise but i find a lot of it funny.

Ugh, both of these episodes are awful. I guess I hate Trash of the Titans slightly less, though.

Both are guilty pleasures of the Scully era for me; while I acknowledge that neither are particularly good Scully episodes (Trash of the Titans for Jerkass Homer, A Tale of Two Springfields for the bad third act), I still kind of enjoy them. I'll vote Trash of the Titans because it's funnier and doesn't have an awful third act.

Also, there aren't many rules to this thread, so if you have an idea for a match in mind, feel free to post it when the time comes. Just make sure we don't have two running at the same time again.

Again a hard one... pretty much 50/50. Think Thrash of the Titans was slightly funnier, I don't even mind his jerkyness in that episode. Homer tried to blow himself up in A Tale Of Two Springfields for f*** sake...

They are both weak classic episodes for their seasons (poor Marge!), but Marge Gets a Job is slightly better,

"Marge In Chains" really gets a lot more flack than it deserves. I watch that episode and laugh my ass off every time.
"Marge Gets A Job" is even funnier though (and one of the season's best), and has a better narrative, but still... please give "Marge In Chains" some damn credit.

Lionel Hutz is awesome in Marge In Chains but as a whole i find Marge Gets a Job stronger.

I really don't get why both of these episodes are considered weak. Do people forget about all the jokes?
On that matter, I don't understand the criticism for The Canine Mutiny either? That one is so fucking funny, seriously.

Marge in Chains has a fairly weak plot, but I thoroughly enjoy it and find it more entertaining than Marge Gets a Job. Marge Gets a Job is rather forgettable.

These are generally cited as the only good clip shows.

I was just in the process of posting a new matchup... I'm posting the next one. Anyway...

My favourite clip show might actually be All Singing, All Dancing just because I like the songs The Simpsons have had and a collection of the Simpsons' songs might be the kind of thing I would watch anyway. As for these, I like how they tried to do something creative with 138th Episode Spectacular. I didn't even think of it as a clip show until recently because it didn't focus on clips that were included in previous episodes very much. On the other hand, So It's Come to This has a good story and good emotion despite being a clip show, and the clips are well-integrated into it. I think, for that reason, I have to go with it.

So It's Come To This: A Simpsons Clip Show: 1
    The 138th Episode Spectacular: 1

"The 138th Episode Spectacular" is more creative and Troy McClure is hilarious as the host here. Besides the clips, we also get to see a bunch of new trivia. Though at least half of it is bullshit, some of it is really interesting, like how they for example planned Smithers shooting Mr. Burns at first. Plus, we get the GOLDEN deleted scene from "Burns' Heir", which I don't even get why they cut out!!
"So It's Come To This: A Simpsons Clip Show" has a good story and is funny, but being the more traditional kind of clip show, it does move forward a bit more slowly.

So It's Come To This: A Simpsons Clip Show: 1
    The 138th Episode Spectacular: 2

Wow, you actually defended "All Singing, All Dancing". I think that just like "Another Simpsons Clip Show", they have nothing to back up on it at all, but is just a pointless clip-a-rama with about 2 minutes of new material. It's fucking lazy, in my opinion. "Gump Roast" on the other hand has less clips, but has a terrible paper-thin story, so that one blows too.
