I only wanted to include so many artists. I didn't want to make the list unbearably long.

Fuck, I thumbed up that post by accident.

You do realise you could have added on a rap or jazz artist if you wanted to, right?

It wasn't for no reason at all. I was specifically criticizing your limited musical experience. When you design a list selecting from every possible american artist, it is expected (unless you explicitly state otherwise) that a list of "american music", or anything else, would contain a wide and even selection of all facets of that specific part of culture. "American Music" should contain selections from every musical style that is important in american history and culture.

By not including major usa-centric musical movements like rap and jazz, your choices showed to the world that you have a shallow understanding of american musical history. Therefore, you cannot be taken seriously, and deserve to be mocked. You have objectively bad ideas. Like a film list composed entirely of popular 80's movies and nothing else, your list shows major flaws in your basic understanding of the world. You need to get out more.

And by the way, unless you don't want this game to actually have a result, you should cut down that list again.

Because no sane person would stick with this fucking game when the list is that length.

A-huh. I'm not even sure if I'd still be a user on this forum by the time the game would have finished with a list that long.

This idea was doomed from the start. Way too many relevant American acts to make a list that won't take 5 days.

There are a ton of relevant British music artists as well, so it's no different.

For example Dusty Springfield and Donovan were both missed out of that for a start.
