So yeah, 39 in total, with the biggest streak being 1997-2001. Which is not that impressive.
I did worse at the 80's than I thought, and the 40's definitely suffered the most. As you can see I also haven't seen any of the first three winners from the 20's.
My favorite winner is A Beautiful Mind. One of the most beautiful movies ever made, in my mind.

I know there are a lot of earlier great movies, I just can't sit long enough to watch them.

    1943 - Casablanca
1957 - The Bridge on the River Kwai
    1970 - Patton
    1972 - The Godfather
1974 - The Godfather Part II
    1976 - Rocky
    1980 - Ordinary People
    1986 - Platoon
    1988 - Rainman
    1989 - Driving Miss Daisy
1991 - The Silence of The Lambs
    1994 - Forrest Gump
    1995 - Braveheart
    1999 - American Beauty
    2000 - Gladiator

There are some movies on the list I refuse to watch for the simple fact I find an actor or actress so repulsive I will never watch their films. Then there are other films I just have no desire, ie Titanic.
Blood for Baal! Blood for Baal! Blood for Baal!
