New Kids on the Blecch: C trashy, yes, but the first act and part of the 2nd are OK
Sunday, Cruddy Sunday: havn't seen in ages
When You Dish Upon a Star: havn't seen in ages
Saddlesore Galactica: N/A
Helter Shelter: C- Shiver. Parts of the 1st act are OK to save it from D range
The Blunder Years: B It's not that bad!. great flashback!.
Brake, My Wife, Please: B- Remember liking this...
The Great Money Caper: C Whacky and rather trashy, quite funny though.
Missionary Impossible: B+ Homers in good character and the 2nd act was class.
Dude, Where's My Ranch?: B+ Sure Lisa's not great, but is this fun or what. The 1st act is class.

Not a terrible bunch, though Missionary Impossible wins.

I honestly didn't think New Kids on the Blecch was that bad. The only truly trashy part was N-Sync's appearance, which was absolutely awful. Missionary Impossible was also okay until the final segment, when it bombed. Everything else....yeah, they're garbage.

Yeah the ending sucked, but alot of stuff in that episode was great, how can you hate an entire episode because of a bad ending. You do realise every second episode the last 2 years had a shitty ending, right?

It wasn't just the ending of The Great Money Caper, it was the whole thing, the premise had potential but it was just wasted, I honestly don't remember laughing during the whole thing.

I haven't seen The Lastest Gun in The West, so that could have found it's way in there by what I've heard. Other close contenders were Co-dependents Day, I'm Going To Praiseland, Make Room For Lisa, Marge Simpson in Screaming Yellow Honkers and most of Seasons 10 and 11 could have found their way in there actually, those on my list just stuck in my head more.

I liked The Blunder Years. It's disjointed, but very entertaining (if not that funny)

She should, or else she wouldn't have 27 more posts than you (at the time I'm writing this).

IMO, Veryjammy's "10 worst" list is more of a mixed bag.

#1: The Great Money Caper - 5/5. Very funny episode, and I agree with Clarence that the ending doesn't take that much away from it.
#2: The Blunder Years - 4/5. Best of the CABF holdovers, though it does have its faults.
#3: Dude, Where's My Ranch? - 4/5. I loved act 1, even if the other 2 were average.
#4: Missionary Impossible - low 4/5. As a parody of the "wacky Homer" stories often found in the Scully era, it was enjoyable.
#5: Brake My Wife, Please - 3/5. An average effort overall.
#6: New Kids on the Blecch - low 3/5. I actually quite liked this episode (aside from 'N Sync's cameo) until the "yvan eht nioj" thing.
#7: Helter Shelter - high 2/5. Slightly worse than CABF12. Like that episode, its high points are in the first 2 acts, and the third is crap.
#8: Saddlesore Galactica - 2/5. I probably should give this a lower grade, but the land of the jockeys was just too farfetched not to be funny.
#9: When You Dish Upon a Star - low 2/5. An episode that started out rather average, and just got worse as it went along.
#10: Sunday, Cruddy Sunday - 1/5. One of the cruddiest episodes ever.

New Kids on the Blecch: F
Sunday, Cruddy Sunday: F
When You Dish Upon a Star: D-
Saddlesore Galactica: F
Helter Shelter: D
The Blunder Years: C+ Not that bad. The flashback was nice, and it tells us why Smithers looks up to Mr. Burns
Brake, My Wife, Please: C+
The Great Money Caper: D-
Missionary Impossible: D
Dude, Where's My Ranch?: C A few scattered moments make up for a disjointed plot, like David Byrnes, the whole first act for that matter, Maggie's scenes, the Beaver War.

No, it's a "wacky Homer" story found in the Scully era that isn't canonical (save for Homer mentioning it as one of his jobs in Poppa's Got A Brand New Badge).

What a good thread. Veryjammy always has interesting opinions, like this list we're discussing about.

1) New Kids on the Blecch: F. One of the VERY FEW episodes I'd give an F to! Also my worst episode ever! I don't like either boys bands or the Army, and I don't remember anything good or funny in that episode... Oh wait, the starting was quite good with it's Grampa-looking Homer joke. But, as a bad ending doesn't really lowers a very good episode, a good starting doesn't really helps a very bad episode from being better.

2) Sunday Cruddy Sunday: D-. Meh. American sports-oriented, so I'm lacking all the potentially funny Superbowl references in it, sounds totally boring to me, with an absolutely unfunny and useless subplot, and an awful ending which appears to have been made in a great hurry... IMO, this episode only escapes from an F because of a very few gags - the people running in the stadium on a Blur song, and Rupert Murdoch's appearance - but sounds absolutely bad overall to me.

3) When You Dish Upon A Star: D. Or how to ruin an entire episode because of very bad use of guest stars. This episode had everything to be good, with an awesome starting (one of the best I've seen so far, actually), but all things are going down as soon as the guest stars appear. So boring...

4) Saddlesore Galactica: D-. I would not go as far as many of you on this board by saying that it is the worst episode ever, but it is one of the worst. The plot is quite bad, not very original, it's not the first time we saw OFF having a big animal (remember "Bart Gets an Elephant"?), has a very stupid and abrupt ending (and, unlike "Bart Gets an Elephant", we don't know what happened to the horse), the jockey part sounds quite unfunny, even to me who doesn't follows horse racings at all. I don't remember anything good from this episode, but I put D- because I did not disliked it as much as New Kids on the Blecch.

5) Helter Shelter: A. I absolutely disagree with all those who say that this episode sucks. I loved it the first time I saw it, and I'm still loving it each time I'm rewatching it. I tried to understand why many of you seem to dislike it, but, despite of the arguments I've been given, I'm still not convinced.

6) The Blunder Years: C. The worst of the flashback episodes, but not as bad as most people are saying. I agree with FuzzyWuzzyWuzABear's brief opinion about it. And it could explain why Smithers is so devoted to such an evil man: because he was actually raised by him?

7) Brake My Wife Please: B. Not bad at all, I don't even understand why it is on this list. Quite a lot of funny jokes from what I remember, even if I did not understand why Marge suddenly says that she hates Homer. But the ending sounds quite sweet to me, and overall, this episode entertained me.

8) The Great Money Caper: A. I agree completely with Clarence on this episode. I found it to be very great, not as good as some season 12 episodes, but absolutely better than many others. The third act does not appears so bad to me, even if the last scenes dealing with surfing are quite disjointed from the rest of the episode. But I think that it has nothing to do with a Top 10 worst episodes list.

9) Missionary Impossible: D-. Another episode which is boring overall, and which has a totally stupid, disjointed and awful ending. From what I can remember, I disliked that episode as much as Sunday, Cruddy Sunday...

10) Dude, Where's My Ranch?: B+. Quite good episode overall, the Flanders song alone deserves a very good mark. As "The Great Money Caper", it has its flaws, but it does not deserve to be on the list.

So, the best episode of this list would be The Great Money Caper for me.

And, to finish, I would like to say that I'm glad to see that Kill The Alligator and Run is not on the list. Like I've said so many times on this board (it's going to be boring, no ), I liked that episode and I would absolutely not include it on my worst episodes list. Veryjammy, why does this episode not on your list, unlike many people? Did you actually liked that episode, or have you just unseen it?

Which Simpsons character would I be if I was a Simpsons character?
According to the quiz on the NHC, I would be...
