An American Idol Parody Poll

Smart and Smarter-Simon Cowell guest stars as the headmaster of the school where Maggie attends.

A Star is Torn- Fantasia Barrino guest stars as Clarissa, Lisa's initial rival when she competes in the Li'l Starmaker competition.

I'm voting Smart and Smarter for this one. Simon Cowell's character was one of the funnier moments of season 15 and I enjoyed the episode more than Star is Torn.

Your turn.

A Star is Torn, though both were about as average as you can get.

I really liked a Star is Torn, mainly because Lenny & Carl were hilarious. It's definetly one I'd make sure to watch whenever it's on.

Smart and Smarter is average and not an episode I'd make a point of watching.

Best episode: A Star Is Torn
Best character: Simon Cowell's was better. Fantasia Barrino hadn't a great role.

I thought A Star is Torn totally sucked and was one of the worst of 16, and Smart and Smarter was great and one of the best of 15.

So Smart and Smarter.

I liked Smart and Smarter a lot better than A Star is Torn, though they both had great stories. But I hate American Idol.

I personally loved A Star Is Torn. I don’t understand why so many people hate it. The episode has everything they always complain about it not having (emotion, funny gags). Ok Homer was a jerk for one scene and that didn’t bother me because I thought it was funny. Oh well this is just my opinion

Smart & Smarter had that terrible scene with Lisa trying to be goth and telling Milhouse to kiss a rock or something like that. Deffinately Star Is Torn.

Yeah, I also found that scene quite unfunny but it's not the worst. Every time Lisa is furious with Maggie...it just doesn't work for me.

Homer was quite violent with other people in A Star is Torn but I think he was nice with Lisa and I understand why he gets mad when Lisa fires him (but, perhaps, he went TOO mad). I think Homer was funny in that episode, but he was also meaner than his usual self. I mean, change Homer for Bender in this episode and everything is ok, it's not the fact that he's not funny, it's the fact that he acts like a meaner character. But not with Lisa, so I don't find any relation with his much more annoying characterization in Make Room For Lisa.
