The Latest (Annoyed Grunt)-Bot with Barting Over action!

Yeah, I know, I suck at the compounding titles, and it's magic was some what taken away when Nameless starting doing it as well.

But to tie in with my Father/Daughter poll, which 2nd Jean coming Father/Son episode did you like most?

Don't have any reviews written up for these, but they're all medicore episodes. Latest Gun In The West is underrated, and the label "worst episode ever" is unjustified, although I'll admit it's far from great. Barting Over was a poor outing, with too many guest-stars playing themselves. I-(Annoyed Grunt)-Bot was packed-to-the-brim with dark humour and multiple Homer pain gags.

Latest Gun In The West - C-
Barting Over - C+
I-(Annoyed Grunt)-Bot - B-

Vote goes to I-(Annoyed Grunt)-Bot, although most these episodes are far from spectacular...

I D'oh-bot by far. It has much better emotion. It's also written by Allen Glazier, my favourite writer who has only written two scripts, both with other people, who does not appear to have worked on anything else.

I, D'oh-bot is the best episode of season 15 and is one of the best two or three of the Jean era, the other ones on the list aren't even close

Why do people always say "Dark humour" as if it's a bad thing, it's a broad term but it doesn't mean pain gags even though Mike Scully seems to think so.

I(annoyed grunt)- Bot is the best here, there's some good character humour in there and lot's of great stuff from the commentators.

I, D'oh-Bot. Easily the best of Season 15, and one of the funniest ever.

Barting Over was pretty doggone bad, and The Lastest Gun in the West is my second worst of the entire series.

But if The Father, the Son, and the Holy Guest Star were up there, I'd vote for that.

Neither of the 3 episodes are really good, but "Barting Over" gets my vote. I liked it better on repeat viewings, and the only thing that I really dislike about it is Bart's anger at Homer. (I think he should have paid more attention to Marge's "forgive and forget" line.) The other two, for me, are the worst episodes in their respective seasons.

Bart: "Please don't call our parents!"
Chief: "I'm afraid I have to for hijinks like these. Hijinks - it's a funny word. Three dotted letters in a row."
Eddie: "Is it hyphenated?"
Chief: "It used to be, back in the good old days, you know. Of course, every generation hyphenates the way it wants to. Then there's *NSYNC! What the hell is that? Jump in any time there, Eddie, these are good topics."

Since everybody is going to vote I Doh Bot I'll go with Latest Gun In The West. I'm not sure if I prefer LGITW or IDB, actually.

Barting Over is pretty bland for me, the story couldn't be more contrived. First act has some really funny gags, though, but second and third were more about cameos and theorically exciting-actually boring-skateboarding action.

Latest Gun In The West has this nice one timer, Buck McCoy and it shows a good relationship between Homer and Bart, with the funny fact of Bart not taking his dad like a role model. The dog part went too long but I found it funny enough. Krusty had a good role and the final sequence is hilarious. Worst thing was the animation...rather dull and uninspired for the most part...

...and animation is the best thing in I Doh Bot. It's a really entertainig episode with good visual aspects and it also shows a good relationship between Bart and Homer, specially during first act. After that it turns out a rehash of Sundays Of Thunder but blander. The story is too simple and unbelievable. The subplot was ok for me but I'm not sure what they were trying to do with it either. For a gag subplot it was funny enough but dealing with the dead didn't provide anything specially deep.

Perhaps Doh Bot is slightly better than LGITW because it's more entertaining mainly thanks to the great animation, but I would take the gags and the characters in LGITW first.

Why are Homer/Bart episodes so wholly uninteresting? All these episodes suck, but Barting Over is the most tolerable.
