...SO.

I'm sitting in ICS class, not paying attention to the teacher, surfing the internet. I come across a message for a local place that a camera crew is filming at the nearby Popeye's. They apparently turned it into a "Mr. Cluck's Chicken Shack." But why? We deduced it was Lost. So after school, my bro's girlfriend takes me past so we can see. A crew is definitely there, but still can't tell what for! When I go home, I grab our camera and rush out to see my dad as he pulls in the driveway. I tell him DADWEGOTTAGOTOPOPEYESLOSTISFILMINGIWANNATAKEPICSPLZ!!!! So we go! And I take pics. And life is beautiful.

Excuse the glare in some pics, I'm not a good picture taker, especially when you can't roll your car windows down since they've just been tinted

Covered Popeye's sign
Crew w/ equipment in background
Mr. Cluck's Chicken Shack
Close-up of sign

Hurley?

Hurley!!
Hurley, dude, and Burger King bush!
HURLEY!
HURLEY!!

I'm pretty sure he was the only cast member there, but it was still fun trying to take good pics when I suck at photography, heh.

Very cool pics. I wish I could randomly see one of my favorite shows taping.

Man, Hurley at a fast food joint...only these writers.

DJ Qualls is an employee, it seems. Unless it's just someone who looks a LOT like him:

Well, got my DVD set on Teusday. And let me tell you, this set is gorgeous. The box art makes you wanna buy it just for that. I was gonna spend the $39.99 at Best Buy because of the bonus disc, but when I saw it at Walmart for only $34.95 I couldn't resist. Plus I'm a cheap ass...
Anyway the set looks and sounds amazing. I trun up my subwoofer and when the "monster" roars, you can sure as hell feel it! Also none of the menus are the same, which is cool. They did a really nice job putting this together. Looks so great on my shelf. Watching these episodes all over again are really fun. Some of the mystery is taken away, but you also see the show in a whole new way. I haven't watched any of the bonus features yet though.
Best DVD set I've gotten all year: A+

Finally got my DVD set today. Just awesome. Box art is beautiful, art on the disks is great, and the way the disks overlap each other is cool as well. Menus are incredibly cool, and from what I've seen of the special features and just the general quality of the episodes makes this definitely worth the forty bucks. The blooper real on disk 7 was hilarious, but the best one has to be Michael yelling at Locke in the jungle:
Locke: But you should've seen-
Michael: Don't tell me what I sould've seen man! If we were back home I'd bust a cap in yo ass homie! West side shit man!

The DVD set is definitely worth it. I watched a good amount of the extras and they were really good. The Kimmel thing was even funny. Watching over the episodes has been good too. I can't wait for the new episodes.

What is this extra disc at Best Buy all about?

Please forgive me for getting in the game late, but I only saw an episode here and there in its original run and never bothered to stick to a schedule to watch it chronologically. Now that they're airing them again, I must say I'm hooked (and less dumbfounded on the episodes I did see). So much so that I bought the DVD set earlier today on a lark. Now I can finally finish the episodes early and anticipate season two.

I'm diggin' it.

Meh, Jin annoys me less than Walt. I really started to like Jin towards the end of the season when he started calming down over that thing with Sun and then at the end with her right before they sailed off. Charlie was the same way, couldn't stand him, but all the stuff with Claire and the baby made me appreciate him more. Even Shannon annoys me less than Walt. But Walt gave her Vincent, that's probably the only thing he did that I think is cool.

What, may I ask, is so annoying about Walt?

The only one who annoyed me was Boone... and then a plane dropped on him, so things got taken care of. I'm quite pleased at the result.

Walt is a brat, as is Shannon. But kids come out lower, especially when there's an aggravated parent involved. I just plain can't stand him for anything, I love what Sawyer said about giving him a slap. And plus, the kid never seems to shut his mouth, it's just hanging open all the time...

Been watching a couple episodes every night. Trying to time it out so I see the finale on the night before the 2nd season premiers on the following Wednesday.

Plus I would like to let the fans know that this/last weeks Entertainment Weekly (the fall tv preview issue) has Matthew Foxx on the cover and a really great article inside about the show. I especially enjoy the steamy picture of Fox, Lilly, and that new cast member, what's her name.
Also there's a really cool pull-out poster of the plane they were on and where almost everybody was sitting and where there will most likely be starting out in the second season. I'd recommend picking it up if you aren't a subscriber.

Also there's that Lost companion book coming out on Spetember 28th, a Lost magazine being published and in next weeks EW magazine there are gonna be exclusive Lost trading cards inside. Three sets total I guess.

I'm definetly getting hyped up for season two!

If anyone is interested, here are the pics I took at the Hurricane Katrina fundraiser today! I tried to get at least two pics of everybody, but the people watching the lines were rushing us through so that everyone got a chance, so I just snapped what I could and uploaded them. Not all the cast was there, I believe Kate was there but had to leave early. The signings started at 12 PM and we managed to get to them at 1:30 PM -_-

My autographed cast photo:

Adebisi...I uh, dunno what his Lost character name is (he winked at me at one point!):

Adebisi, Shannon, Claire, and Jin:

Adebisi again (I need to learn his Lost name!):

Shannon (she was so skinny! but pretty since she was smiling and not scowling like in the show):

Claire and Jin (Claire is skinny too, but also very pretty):

This is like the ONLY time I've seen celebs not including people who grew up/are from Hawaii (which means the celebs no one cares about). Probably the last time I'll get to see them, too.

i must say this is quite possibly the best show in the last 5 years. i cant believe i didnt get to see this earlier.

anyway i was sick from school last week, and i got the DVD, ive watched all 24 episodes and am rewatchin them now and am on disc 3.

ive watched all the extras, and they're decent, commentaries are great but i wish that there was more than just 5.

favorite character is definately locke, im very curious to see his backround story with helen, which j.j. did mention would be an upcoming episode.

season 2 starts the 20th correct?
