R.I.P Snowball II (1989-2004) Gone, but not forgotten

I have heard that Snowball II, has died in the episode "I-Doh!-Bot". I never saw that episode (I'll try and get a WMV download!) but I saw the framegrabs on this website: http://www.capefeare.com and I was quite sad. (That EVIL Dr. Hibbert, running that poor cat over!!! :angry:

) Anyway, we bid farewell to that lovable sequal to Snowball I and we wish the best when she is in cat heaven (a.k.a. dog hell!), meeting up with Snowball I and of course, Snowball III and Coltraine. However, we bid a very warm welcome to Snowball V and we hope he or she dosen't die the same way Snowball II died.

Its only a cat!

The new cat is still called Snowball II as Lisa didnt want to change the dishes bowl which said Snowball II.

snowball ii really didn't add anything to the show at all, so i didn't mind her removal from the show.

I always thought she was funny, but nothing special. And Snowball V has been no funnier or less funny so far.

No I've noticed numerous subtle differences, which though very minor, they mean I can never really properly enjoy an episode ever again.

Snowball II hardly contributed anything to the show. She was obnoxious and privately believed she was SLH's understudy...

Is this the episode (...if not...what is the episode) where SBII is killed...and then Lisa gets another cat...and it's killed...and she gets another cat...and it's killed...etc., etc.

I remember one of the cats looked just like Bart-- and it was killed off pretty quickly...and I really liked that cat! I was sorry to see it killed off so soon!

. Okay there aren't a lot of episodes about Snowball II. I guess one. But she was a simpson character. She have played 15 years in this show.
I don't like when some one in this show died. Such faults are very big. I won't forget it.

I'm embaressed of the number of bad replies and I don't want to insult anybody, should I erase this thread or is it too late? I'm sorry, again. I only wanted to make Snowball II remembered well, not as a replacement to Santa's Little Helper besides, aren't they BOTH as cute and likeable as each other? Besides, calm down now... its nearly Christmas!

It was a totally pathetic subplot and the Arman Temzarian reference at the end was a little stupid. The subplot ruined the episode.

The cat has had a lot of good jokes, but it doesn't really matter whether it's dead or alive now. And this is one of these things that I don't like with the newer episodes; They always try to (as Matt Groening once said in an interview) surprise the audience. They don't have to surprise the audience... Was season 1-10 so shocking? No.

In my opinion i like calling the old Snowball a female, as it was often refered to one in the pre-Scully years, but then more recently they changed it to he. However, i might as well give in and say the new Snowball II is a male - even though i don't want to.

Really, who cares? Snowball II has only been used sparingly throughout the series for a few gags and to establish that Lisa had a pet to call her own. The new kitty has only been shown like two or three times since. Not much of a problem to me. If it aired in the Scully era, SLH would've been killed and replaced/been revived from the dead.
