What I do not understand though, is this- do these people who constantly complain about the packaging, but praise the episodes... why do they put the discs back in? And do they complain every time that they go to watch them?

I'm excited to see the packaging on seasons 13+14.
Better yet: why do people buy these sets (at full price) period? IMO, Seasons 10-12 (along with S17-21) is the armpit of the show and if people want to hear the writers explain themselves, rent the DVDs for a few bucks and then be done with them.

And the rentals have their own special casing, no need to worry about shitty packaging!

^ For me it's because I live nowhere near any rental stores, so if I want to see it I kind of have no choice but to buy it, even if it's just for the commentaries.

You still don't have to pay $30, $20, or even $15 to own them. Shop around, and for the cost of renting the 4 DVDs individually, you can buy them used for cheaper. Significantly cheaper if you have been buying them new.

I got Season 11 on sale for 12.99 at Best Buy and Season 12 was a gift, it certainly isn't so godawful that I'd turn it down

Seasons 11 and 12 to me were still somewhat new, I'd seen some of the episodes but not a lot, so I bought for 30-40 dollars. But if I had seen them all beforehand I might have tried cheaper

Yeah like mmahomer said, Bea calm down comparing this to Springfield Downs this is quite harmless.

Futhermore, the sets are rated on many sites, such as the snpp and other simpsons fansites. Don't go hunting down a weak target of a member, just because you feel you can get a way with it - he has an opinion too, ok?

It's weird to do it. I mean, giving a 3/5 to a box set? 5/5, 4/5? It's just weird. I understand some people do it, but like you said- I have an opinion.

And besides, I was kidding with that post, I used to do that with my Simpsons box sets, what I liked about the design, etc. Hence why I used the sarcastic face, I was kidding

Oh ok, I misunderstood as I use that face for a different purpose instead of sarcasm. My bad.

Does anyone know Marge's costume? Homer is Radioactive Man, Bart is Bartman, and Lisa is Clobber Girl, but what is Marge dressed as? This has been bugging me but I never wanted to ask because this thread hadn't been bumped and I didn't want to bump it for such a small reason. Is she dressed as an actual superhero or what?

My guess is that shes either dressed up as something from Bongo comics or they just put her in that costume for the DVD release.

Thanks- as I said, it's been bugging me, because the others are dressed up as characters from the show, but I don't remember seeing Marge or anybody ever dress up as that
