Congrats all. I'm glad I was around for the first million and was a poor excuse for a moderator (wouldn't show up consistently) for about 30,000 of them. Ah, the days of Kwyjibo, a secret project that Eric revealed to about a dozen of us and we all said, "you can't be serious. Another message board?" We were so wrong about just how many casual fans weren't bothering to sign up at the web-site heavy boards that were around at the time (Maggied, etc.)

Best memories were probably hanging out with the Media dweebs. It's always fun to talk with people that have a shared interest about things that have nothing to do with that shared interest. No offense to the absolutely mouth-dropping diehards that walked around the Simpsons areas blowing my mind with their knowledge. You guys were a hoot as well. Oh, and the one season of fantasy baseball was pretty fun since I won the division by a large margin before being creamed in the playoffs.

Also, Roarke & some other people uploaded albums here by Aloha, Beulah & Unrest which were some of the best direct music recommendations I've ever received. Much appreciated and probably what I'll carry with me the most from this forum decades after the fact.

Oh, and talking to Al Jean via e-mail was cool, I guess.

i dunno...that sorta sounds like a lot to me. that's what? 2-3 percent of all posts ever made? that's like, 1 post every page, for every single page ever (if your settings are at 30 or so pages like most are).

i assume it doesn't count all of the long-lost posts from like, the august '01 days?

I'd venture a guess that the majority of posts deleted are spam. Either in the form of spam advertisements (seriously, who the fuck buys a cellphone through an email address they found on a forum?) or "spam attack" where someone signs up at 3am and makes 120 posts about carrot-sex during the night.
