    Rate and Review ''Football''

Original Airdate: October 18, 1987. Episode 11, Season 2. Homer promises the kids chocolate milkshakes if Bart can catch one of his father's long football passes. Unfortunately, there are many obstacles to overcome, like falling down a cliff, but Bart finally manages to catch the football—with his mouth.

Pretty funny short. I always welcome the use of Frosty Chocolate Milkshakes and the animation looks really squishy and fun (Homer's eyes bouncing when he throws the ball). A bit cartoony with Bart jumping over tiny fences and cliffs, but it's fun and the end's great. 5/5 for poll. So Rate and Review Everyone.

    Trivia:

◾Marge does not appear in this short.
◾This is the first appearance of the barking dog.
◾First appearance of The Simpson residence exterior.

Also, can a Mod please put the newly created short threads in the Archive.

Remember that in one-minute shorts, characterization can not always be perfect. It's mostly played for laughs, and besides, this is a world away from the destructive Homer of the Scully era. Anyway, quite a good short. Repetitive, but had a good pay-off. Poor Bart! And who doesn't love frosty chocolate milkshakes? 4/5

Homer and his frosty chocolate milkshakes.

This short was pretty good. Really cartoony, but that's what you're supposed to expect from class Simpsons shorts.
My Favorite Episodes: Homer's Barbershop Quartet, Itchy and Scratchy Land, Homer and Apu, Burns' Heir, and Rosebud.
My Least Favorite Episodes: Elementary School Musical, Lisa Goes Gaga, Kill the Alligator and Run, Saddleshore Galactica, and The Ten-Per-Cent Solution.
